Cosmetic bag on vacation: 7 must-haves

Are you going to the sea? We will tell you what beauty products you should definitely take with you on a trip in order to return not only rested, but also beautiful.

1. Body sunscreen

Means number 1, which you definitely need to take with you on a beach holiday to protect the skin from burns, pigmentation, photoaging and prevent neoplasms (nevi, keratomas, melanomas). Knowing your phototype will help you choose the right cream or spray: the lighter the skin, the higher the SPF should be.

So, for a brown-haired woman with olive skin, SPF 20 and 30 indices are suitable, and for “snow white” it is better to choose SPF 50.

There are two types of protective filters.

  1. Physical (blockers)

Substances like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide create a protective “mirror” layer on the surface of the skin, from which the sun’s rays are reflected. Previously, products of this type left white streaks, new generation creams contain micronized powder, which solved this problem.

  2. Chemical (organic, absorbers)

Chemical filters on the label are indicated by the names: Mexoryl, Tinosorb, Octocrylene, Avobenzone, Oxybenzone or other words with the ending -benzone (benzoates). Products with them are lighter in texture and do not leave streaks. For the best effect, some manufacturers combine physical and chemical filters.

Remember to reapply every 2 hours, even if the cream or spray is claimed to be waterproof.

  • Classic sun milk for face and body Ambre Solaire, SPF 30, Garnier – The formula with physical (titanium dioxide) and chemical (Mexoryl SX) filters is complemented by shea butter, which moisturizes the skin.

  • Spray-veil moisturizing Capital Idéal Soleil, SPF 50, Vichy does not contain alcohol and is suitable for even the most sensitive skin. A whole complex of chemical protective filters (Eusolex HMS, Octocrylene, Ethyl Hexylsalicylate, Uvinul T150, Parsol 1789, Mexoryl XL) reliably protects against ultraviolet rays, and vitamin E slows down aging.

If you are going to relax by the sea, choose waterproof products.

  • Activated Sun Protector For Face, SPF 50, Kiehl’s with chemical filters Mexoryl SX and XL will protect the skin of the face for a long time from the aggressive effects of broad spectrum UV rays. Vitamin E neutralizes the negative effects of free radicals.
