Concealer for eyes: rules of application
What is an eye concealer and why is it needed
A face corrector, or concealer, is a cosmetic product that masks imperfections in the skin. It should be in the arsenal of any woman who looks after her appearance and wants to look beautiful and well-groomed. After all, the corrector helps to even out the complexion and hide flaws – a small rash, acne, dark circles under the eyes, etc. However, this tool must be chosen carefully, since cosmetics of an unsuitable consistency or tone will only emphasize skin imperfections.
How to conceal circles and bags under the eyes with the help of the concealer
Use a creamy concealer to reduce visible signs of sleep deprivation. It will not only hide imperfections, but also moisturize the delicate skin around the eyes.
Typically, a light concealer is used to mask under eye circles.
But in order to hide bags under the eyes, it cannot be used. By highlighting a particular area, you visually give it a bulge. And in this case, on the contrary, you need to hide the problem area. Therefore, apply the corrector to the area below the edema. Since the face is usually lit from above, this swelling will create a shadow. Since people are looking directly at you, the bags under the eyes will look even against the background of the skin of the face, without being conspicuous.
Many women have dark circles and puffiness under the eyes at the same time.
In this case, you need to use the following technology for masking skin imperfections:
- apply a small amount of concealer around the eyes
- apply foundation all over your face
- apply some light-colored concealer to the baggy-shaded area and spread it thoroughly
- fix this makeup with a thin layer of powder
How to hide dark circles around the eyes
Many women use a yellow concealer when trying to mask dark circles. But, as a rule, arches under the eyes are characterized by a bluish-brown tint, and when mixing blue with yellow, the result is green. Therefore, it is better to give preference to a peach tone, which will perfectly hide blackouts.
It should be borne in mind that in some cases, after applying a corrector of this color, the skin may look orange. In this case, top up with 1 more layer of a natural shade that should be slightly lighter than your skin tone. For fair-skinned girls, yellow correctors are best suited to camouflage dark circles; for dark-skinned women, it is preferable to choose golden-orange shades.
How to hide rashes, pimples and age spots around the eyes
To hide small age spots and blemishes, get a dry concealer stick. This remedy usually contains ingredients that help heal inflammation. To make spider veins less visible, use a yellowish concealer.
If you’ve applied a lighter concealer to your eye area, then use a lighter shade of powder. Cover the treated area with it and choose a different tone for the rest of the face.
A dry structure corrector for problem skin should be matched to the tone cream. If it turns out to be lighter, the rash will look more prominent and noticeable. Apply the concealer to the affected area with your finger or brush, then rub. Then cover your entire face with a thin layer of foundation using a damp sponge.
A yellow corrector applied to them will help to disguise rosacea. With age, many women develop age spots on their skin, which can be caused by hormonal disorders or exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Cover up these blemishes with a lighter shade concealer – apply to problem areas, then blend and use foundation for an even complexion.
