Coronavirus in Europe – the situation in Poland is getting worse

The latest map published by ECDC clearly shows that the further east of Europe, the worse it is with COVID-19 infections. The situation is terrible in the countries on the edge of the area belonging to the European Union. This also applies to Poland, although to a lesser extent.

The epidemic situation in our country has been worsening for several weeks. A month ago, the entire area of ​​our country was marked in green. Now this applies to only four provinces – Świętokrzyskie, Śląskie, Opole and Lubuskie.

More and more provinces are marked in red (there is the most infections there). It started with the Lublin and Podlasie regions, on the newest map they were joined by the voivodeship Masovian and West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The remaining voivodships are yellow (orange).

The map from October 21 shows a dark red color in all the Baltic countries. Record numbers of infections are recorded in Latvia, Estonia and neighboring Lithuania.

It is also very bad in Slovakia. Two-thirds of the country is dark red, the rest is red. Germany is almost all red, only one state in the north is yellow.

From the countries bordering Poland, the safest place is in the Czech Republic. An even greater part of this country is marked in yellow, but more and more red every week.

Apart from the aforementioned Baltic states and Slovakia, the epidemiological situation is also very bad in Romania and Slovenia (both countries are dark red in their entirety). The highest infection rates are also found in parts of Bulgaria, Greece and Croatia.

Finland, Ireland, Belgium and Luxembourg are fully marked in red, and this color is also dominant in the Netherlands, Austria and Hungary. Norway and the Netherlands are in the red parts.
