According to the UNIAN news agency, millions of people associate the new 2019-nCoV coronavirus with the Corona beer brand.
It would seem that it is perfectly clear that apart from semantic properties, nothing unites these two concepts. But it turns out that not everyone understands this. This is evidenced by the statistics of search queries in Google.
In particular, the first requests linking coronavirus and Corona beer appeared in mid-January. They looked like this: “corona virus “(” corona beer virus “). If before January 18 such requests were single, then after that date the number of such requests began to increase sharply.
Most of them are in Cambodia, Singapore and Malaysia. This relationship is also popular in New Zealand, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Norway, Austria, and Denmark.
Of course, users find no evidence of this relationship other than semantic. So, “Corona” in translation from English means “crown”, this is the emblem of beer. And the coronavirus got its name from the appearance of the virus, from the outer shell of which spines resembling a crown extend.
We will remind, earlier we told that WHO recommends about coronavirus, and also advised what to eat in order to protect immunity.
