Culinary experts have been preparing healthy and nutritious pumpkin since time immemorial. It has been cultivated and eaten for over 5000 years. Cooking pumpkin in the microwave
Sweet pumpkin with raisins and walnuts
Ingredients: – 1 kg pumpkin; – 6 tbsp. Sahara; – 50 g of raisins and walnut kernels; – 20 g butter; – 1 tsp powdered sugar; – a pinch of ground cinnamon.
Many delicious and healthy dishes can be made with pumpkin, such as pumpkin with raisins and walnuts. To prepare this dish, soak the raisins in warm water for 15 minutes and drain in a colander. Peel the pumpkin and cut the flesh into very thin slices. Melt the butter and grease a heat-resistant glass pan with a cooking brush, and arrange the orange slices tightly in it. Pour 1 tbsp over them. water and sprinkle with sugar. Cook the pumpkin in the microwave for 12 minutes at 800 watts. Then remove it, stir in the squeezed raisins, season with cinnamon and bake for another 3 minutes. Grind the walnut kernels in a mortar or coffee grinder, cover the dish with them and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients: – 250 g pumpkin; – 3 tbsp. butter + 1 tbsp. for lubricating the mold; – 1 chicken egg; – 150 ml of milk; – 1 tbsp. Sahara; – 1,5 tbsp. flour; – 1,5 tsp baking powder; – 1 tsp icing sugar.
Don’t throw away pumpkin seeds, they are just as healthy and tasty as the vegetable itself. They can be dried in the oven or fried in a dry frying pan.
Warm butter to room temperature, mash it, combine with milk, sugar and egg. Bring the mixture to a smooth consistency with a broom or mixer, add the flour mixed with baking powder and beat again. Wash the pumpkin, remove the skins and seeds, and grate the vegetable on a coarse grater. Place it on the bottom of a buttered baking dish, top with dough and cover with parchment paper or a lid. Bake the dish for 10-12 minutes at 450 watts, then remove the cover and send the pie in the microwave for 20 minutes. Turn the finished baked goods onto a plate and garnish with powdered sugar, sifting it through a sieve.
Ingredients: – 250 g pumpkin; – 1,5 tbsp. round grain rice; – 200 g of apples; – 100 g of raisins; – 2 pinches of salt; – 100 ml of vegetable oil.
Cut the peeled pumpkin into small pieces. Core the apples, cut them into small cubes and mix with the raisins. Fill the bottom of the dish with the pumpkin slices and top with 50 ml vegetable oil. Add half of the dry rice, then spread the apple-raisin mixture, add the layer of rice again, add the remaining oil and 3 tbsp. water with salt dissolved in it. Set the power to 500 W and put the dishes in the microwave for 20 minutes. Stir the finished pilaf thoroughly.
