Find flavors that work well with each other, such as strawberry and vanilla or cocoa and lemon juice. The finished product can be coated with colored glaze or sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Chocolate Lemon Marble Cake
This pastry has a pleasant sour-sweet taste and a striking pattern with golden brown streaks. You can make adjustments to the recipe by replacing the cocoa powder with melted dark chocolate.
You will need:
– 150 g flour; – 100 g of corn starch; – 200 g of butter; – 2 eggs; – 150 g of sugar; – 1 teaspoon of baking powder; – a few drops of vanilla essence; – 0,5 cups of sour cream; – 0,25 tea tablespoons of salt; – 1/2 lemon; – 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder; – powdered sugar for decoration.
Vanilla essence can be replaced with vanilla or vanilla sugar
Sift flour, mix with starch, salt and baking powder. Mash softened butter and sour cream with sugar, add vanilla essence and lightly beaten eggs. Mix everything well and add the flour mixture in portions.
Divide the dough in two. Add cocoa powder to one. Squeeze the juice from the lemon, slice the zest thinly and scald it with boiling water. Put the juice and zest in the rest of the dough and mix thoroughly.
Lubricate the ring shape with oil. Fill it alternately with chocolate and lemon batter. Then stir the dough with a knife, this will provide beautiful marble streaks. Place the pan in a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake for about 40 minutes. Determine the readiness of the test by piercing it with a toothpick.
Wrap the mold in a damp towel and gently turn it over. Sprinkle the finished product with icing sugar. Serve the cupcake cut open for a striking marble pattern.
Instead of powdered sugar, the cake can be poured with chocolate or lemon icing.
Strawberry Vanilla Marble Cake
You will need: – 200 g of butter; – 300 g of flour; – 1 cup of strawberries; – 2 eggs; – 0,75 cups of sugar; – 0,25 teaspoon of salt; – 0,5 teaspoon of soda; – 1 teaspoon a spoonful of vanilla sugar; – powdered sugar for decoration.
Separate the yolks from the whites. Whisk the whites into a strong foam, mash the yolks with sugar, vanilla sugar and softened butter. Add flour in portions to the yolk mass, and then gently add the whites, stirring from bottom to top.
Beat the strawberries with a blender. Divide the dough in two, add the strawberry puree to one. Grease a refractory rectangular shape with butter and fill with vanilla dough. Top with strawberry dough. Use a wooden skewer to stir the contents of the mold, creating streaks.
Place the dish in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Bake the cake for about 45 minutes, then gently remove it from the pan and chill on the board. Sprinkle icing sugar over the surface of the cake, cut the cake into slices and serve.
