Disciplined people who know how to manage their emotions and their external manifestation can simply prevent crying or stop it. It is only important for them to understand that in this case, crying is unacceptable.

If you are not such a disciplined person, and you need to restrain your tears, the following techniques can help you:

  • Transference of crying: to think that now you need to be calm, but in an hour — I will cry enough.
  • Track the breath, make the exhalation longer, imagine how the tension leaves the body with the exhalation
  • Do gymnastics for the eyes: look up, in a circle, to the sides.
  • Wash your face with cold water several times in a row, rub your face, then actively dry yourself with a towel.
