Contractubex is a light beige to light brown opaque gel. The action of the drug is mainly:

Contractubex – the composition of the drug
The active substances of Contractubex are:
- 50 IU sodium heparin;
- 100 mg of onion liquid extract;
- 10 mg alantoiny.
The active substances of Contractubex are:
- Sorbic acid;
- Methyl parahydroxybenzoate;
- Guma ksantan;
- Macrogol 200;
- Fragrance enhancer 231616;
- Purified Water.
Contractubex – indications for use
The main indication for the use of Contractubex is the treatment of scars after the wound has fully healed. In this case, it is primarily about:
- Scars restricting movement;
- Postoperative scars;
- Amputation scars;
- Burn scars;
- Accident scars;
- Contractures;
- Tendon contractures caused by accidents or scar shrinkage.
Contractubex – how to take?
Contractubex gel should be taken according to the doctor’s, pharmacist’s instructions or the instructions provided in the package leaflet. The gel is best used several times a day, gently rubbing it into the scar. You can also make a dressing by lubricating the lesion on the skin and then wrapping it with a bandage overnight. This method works well in the case of hardened and old scars. Treatment may last from several weeks to several months.
If the scar is fresh after using Contractubex, avoid low temperature, UV exposure and mechanical trauma.
Contractubex – Recommended Precautions
When using Contratubex gel, first of all, remember to use it only on scars. It is best to start the treatment as early as possible. If the gel is used on extensive scars, side effects related to the effect of heparin may occur.

Due to the presence of heparin and sorbic acid in the composition of Contractubex, side effects may occur, which mainly cause allergic reactions, including contact dermatitis.
One in ten patients had pruritus, erythema, dilation of the capillaries and deepening of the scar, while one in XNUMX patients had discoloration and thinning of the skin.
Contractubex – can it be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
As with any medication, pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their gynecologist before using Contractubex. However, there are insufficient data that would completely prohibit the use of the drug.

Contractubex should be stored in a room where the temperature does not exceed 25 degrees C. It should be in a place inaccessible to children, where the sun’s rays do not reach.
