By clothes, of course, they are met, but how do we evaluate her herself? Are her perceptions influenced by the appearance and behavior of the wearer?
Psychologists at the University of Canterbury (New Zealand) invited the visitors of the department store to evaluate different T-shirts that the same girl represented in the photographs. T-shirts varied in style and color; the expression of the girl’s face also changed: it was either neutral, or with a formal smile, or with a sincere one. The model, which was shown by an openly smiling girl, was always rated as more beautiful. In a word, what clothes we wear is less important than the emotions that we experience in it (and communicate them to others).
