Contemporary Art and Wine Culture Festival

The new proposal that will be developed in the town of Labastida the next days 11 to 14 September could not have a more traditional place.

In the region of the Rioja Alavesa The first contemporary art festival related to wine culture will be held during those days, on the occasion of the new edition of the Harvest festival.

El 14th North Festival is a multidisciplinary art event specifically conceived around the culture of wine. Betting on collaborative work between artists and citizens with the mission of generating new settings, locations and habitats to promote creativity and creation.

The idea revolves around a maxim that the Rioja Alavesa region has been pursuing for years, which is to value the cultural reality of the area and at the same time promote quality wine tourism.

The central theme of the works will be the architecture of wine, where the role of historical evolution and its subsequent development of the community’s cultural activity should reveal the authentic relationship with collective artistic creation.

New spaces where artists can develop and above all a new content that is perfectly compatible with the tourist promotion of the wineries, the architecture and the culture of the towns that occupy this wine-growing enclave.

The event and its activities

Exhibitions will be held with the works made around wine, which will be completed with different workshops, activities and recreations such as the treading of the grape.

Leisure will also be accommodated due to the playful approach of the exhibition, where concerts and the traditional pintxo pote will enliven the different places of celebration. 

The local hospitality industry is adorned on those days to give the visitor the best choice of the traditional delicacies of each establishment, so the places where the wine is consumed take part in the festival since they are drunk, eaten and also seen art.
