Contact lenses, i.e. eyes without complexes!

Do you want to see perfectly, do not want to worry about weather changes and constantly fogged up glasses? You do sports and want to feel comfortable, you want to show off your beautiful make-up without covering it with glasses. Compact lenses will allow you to do it all. The world of spectacle wearers has become so much easier since they could put on contact lenses. What is so interesting about contact lenses, why are they so popular, how to care for them and are they for everyone?

Compact lenses simply mean comfort, glasses do not suit everyone, not everyone wants to struggle with their selection and constant difficulties. It’s winter and frost, it’s rain or steam. Lenses overcome each of these problems. Sunglasses can be worn with contact lenses. Lenses correct virtually every vision defect, from farsightedness, through astigmatism, presbyopia, to myopia. Modern compact lenses are equipped with filters that protect the eye from excessive and harmful ultraviolet radiation. They effectively block more than 90% of UVB radiation and more than 80% of UVA radiation. So they are perfect protection for your eyes. Apart from the aesthetic aspect, they are safe for the eye, and research has shown that the latest types of lenses prevent eye infections.

Which lenses to choose?

Disposable contact lenses are available on the market. In the morning you put it on, in the evening you throw it into the bin without worrying about cleaning and storing it. Monthly lenses, also with the possibility of wearing at night. Such lenses require care and the use of a special liquid for their daily cleaning. They are stored at night in a special container. There are also colored contact lenses to change the color of the eyes. Are hard or soft contact lenses better? You must make your choice after consulting an ophthalmologist. Soft lenses are the most popular, they are made of hydrogel or silicone hydrogel. When dry, hydrogel is a hard organic material, while when wet, it becomes flexible and soft. The type of soft lenses is also determined by the level of their oxygen permeability. And this is the most important thing to analyze when choosing lenses. Oxygenation of the eye is one of the most important issues for the health of the eyes and the comfort of wearing lenses. Lenses with high oxygen permeability are irreplaceable in cases where we spend many hours in smoky or dry and air-conditioned rooms. If your eye is hypoxic, spider veins appear on it, revealing blood vessels, you feel burning and sand in the eyes. In this case, consider whether your lenses are properly selected or whether you have been wearing them for too long. Moving lenses can cause inflammation and lead to infection within the eye. There are also hard lenses made of material with a high degree of oxygen permeability, organic material. They are more durable than the soft ones, have a smaller diameter, but the eyes take much longer to get used to them.

And what if your vision defect is too big or you are allergic, what about makeup? Today, there is a whole range of lenses for special tasks, even for people with a large defect or astigmatism. Astigmatics need toric lenses. If you are allergic, you must be careful with the selection of care and hygiene products. Choose those without preservatives. Makeup is allowed but there is only one rule you must follow. Put on your lenses first, then do your makeup, never the other way around. Only a small percentage of people cannot wear lenses: people with type 2 diabetes, eye infections and dry eye syndrome.

In a word, contact lenses are not only comfortable, improving appearance, but also self-confidence and the ability to enjoy life to the fullest.
