“Conflict, leadership, ideology in groups and organizations” O. Kernberg

Hope for an omnipotent leader, search for internal and external enemies, caution, suspicion and timidity – this is the behavior of many members of organizations in which the structure for which this organization was created is being destroyed (for example, protecting members of the organization, managing the economic or political process).

Other members of this organization, who have retained the ability to criticize and objectively look at things, are prone to depressive states: they doubt themselves, their value to the organization, feel depressed and lonely. The classic psychoanalyst Otto Kernberg, who is still working today, writes about acutely modern and recognizable problems, analyzing groups – from bureaucratic institutions to societies, parties and crowds. The book was published in a series supervised by permanent experts of our journal, psychologists Ekaterina Mikhailova and Leonid Krol.
