Concealer is a dense concealer that can effectively hide imperfections in the skin, even out skin tone and even improve the opacity of your foundation. Choose between a paste, liquid or cream depending on what problems you intend to solve with it.

How to Pick a Good Face Concealer

Correctors of various shades and textures can be found on sale. They also differ in covering ability. Products with a lighter texture and more reflective pigments are applied to the area around the eyes. Such correctors are produced in the form of creams and gels; they hide fine wrinkles, bruises and burst capillaries well.

For pimples and blemishes, it is recommended to apply a denser product that hides redness well.

Concealer sticks and thick creams with a matte texture will do. The most dense concealers are capable of masking even scars, birthmarks and burn marks. Such correctors in texture resemble a paste, they are applied in layers with a sponge or applicator, and then fixed with a special fixing powder.

Choose the correct shade of concealer. Their color palette is very large, tones vary from porcelain to dark apricot. The lightest corrector is addressed to girls with transparent white skin, the dark one is suitable for a heavily tanned or swarthy face. A universal option is a product with a yellowish base, it is suitable for most types of appearance.

Makeup artists recommend having several shades of corrector in your cosmetic bag for all occasions. Ready-made palettes are very convenient: tones can be mixed directly in the box or on the skin

Color correctors take a special place; they do a good job with uneven complexion. Lilac and pink products refresh earthy skin, greenish ones mask red spots, and yellow ones brighten the desired areas. If necessary, a little concealer can be mixed with your foundation, this technique is recommended for problem skin with small pimples and acne spots.

Applying a corrector: hide flaws

Try to eliminate dark circles under the eyes that make your face look tired. Cleanse your skin with an alcohol-free lotion or toner.

Apply a portion of moisturizing cream under the eyes: without a base, the concealer will lie unevenly and will resemble plaster

Using a brush, apply a small amount of pinkish or light yellow concealer to the inner corner of the eye, continuing a line along the lower eyelid, the skin in this area is the darkest shade. Blend the concealer with a gentle pat on your fingertip. Remove any residual product from your eyelashes, wait a few minutes and proceed with your regular eye makeup.

If you plan to cover up a pimple, brush a little yellowish-beige concealer onto the brush and pat it in. Wait a few seconds and then gently blend the product to completely blend into the skin. Repeat the procedure as necessary. Don’t try to put on too much concealer, thin layering will give a much better effect.
