Yoga. Several studies show that regular yoga practice can reduce anxiety6. It also helps to limit the symptoms of post-traumatic stress7.

Relaxation techniques. The state of consciousness obtained under hypnosis is similar to a deep state of relaxation. Several studies show the effectiveness of hypnosis in the management of anxiety, in management of phobias8. Other techniques, such as relaxation or biofeedback, can have a beneficial effect and reduce anxiety.

Coffee. Kava is a plant native to the Pacific Islands. Several clinical trials have shown that kava extract is more effective than a placebo in relieving anxiety. Note, however, that there is great heterogeneity in the quality and concentration of kava extracts available on the market.9.

Acupuncture. Several studies have highlighted the effectiveness of acupuncture in treating anxiety disorders. However, these studies are widely open to criticism because of their lack of methodological rigor.
