– Introduction: I fell in love with the Smashbox brand for a long time for their ideal make-up bases. Now I am testing new brand products without hesitation. Outwardly, I really liked the package of powder: a matte square box, inside a mirror and two compartments – one powder, the other a sponge. Convenient when you only need a mirror – you do not need to hold the sponge so that it does not fall out.

Expectations: it is a new beauty brand product with filter technology. The transparent filters in the powder reflect light from different angles, making your skin flawless in Instagram photos. A special double-sided sponge allows you to create coverage of different densities and with different effects, but always flawless. The velvet side is a natural, lighter finish. Smooth side – semi-matt, denser finish.

Reality: I applied the powder along with the Smashbox makeup base. The product fits evenly and tightly (I chose the smooth side of the sponge). The powder does not dry the skin, but after the sponge, I went over the skin with a brush to create the perfect tone. The smooth surface remained until the end of the day, and after work there was no need to adjust the tone. I loved the Compact Powder Photo Filter, and I will definitely put it in my cosmetic bag.

– Introduction: I had a lot of Yves Rocher cosmetics, almost all I was satisfied with. As for the powder, here I am used to using baked powder. In my opinion, it conveys a beautiful radiance, lies flat, etc. However, having tried the usual Yves Rocher powder, I was pleasantly surprised.

Appearance: the box, unlike the main series, is gold in color and made of plastic. There is a large panoramic mirror inside, you can see it very well. Instead of a sponge, a brush made of natural bristles is attached to the powder, which is square and very comfortable.

Expectations: The manufacturer promises that the light silky texture of the compact powder is easy to apply, smoothing out wrinkles and masking signs of fatigue, evens out skin tone, giving it a radiance. The powder noticeably improves the complexion, does not emphasize wrinkles, does not dry the skin, providing a feeling of comfort throughout the day.

In fact, it turned out that the powder is really good. It has a pleasant texture, the smallest grind, the skin becomes very soft and smooth after application. Shimmering particles sparkle delicately, look very natural on the skin, do not create the effect of oily skin, as some shimmering powders do. The durability is within the normal range, it lasts for several hours, given that I apply the thinnest layer. It should only be applied with a brush. Do not even try to do it with a sponge, this powder, as it seems to me, is not intended to be applied in a thick layer, as it can be done with a sponge.

Reality: in principle, the powder made a very good impression as a light veil after foundation, for a light matte and radiance of the skin. But I still won’t change my baked powder for this one.

– Introduction: our beauty editor offered me Cargo_HD Picture Perfect powder for testing. To be honest, I didn’t want to take it, because I was completely unfamiliar with the Cargo brand, I hadn’t even heard anything about it. But our Vasilisa assured me that I would like the product and it was very good. I took it, used it for a week and now I say thank you very much to Vasilisa!

Appearance: now everything is in order. Package. It is quite small, fits easily into even the smallest cosmetic bag, and is easy to hold in your hands. The tool looks quite simple and modest, without any design bells and whistles. The manufacturer did not add a sponge to this powder, but for me this was not a minus, usually I always use one of my favorite brush.

Expectations: now about the properties of the powder in practice. The product description states that “Cargo_HD Picture Perfect is specially designed for high definition movies to make skin look perfect, but at the same time, so that the powder is not visible under the gaze of HD cameras. The innovative oil-free formula contains photochromatic pigments that adapt to light to create a natural yet perfect look in all conditions. ” It sounds promising! What is in practice?

Reality: but in reality everything turned out to be true. Of course, I did not participate in the filming of the film, but I was quite pleased with my reflection in the mirror after applying the Cargo_HD Picture Perfect. I’ve tried using powder on fluid foundation, BB cream, and on a clean face. In all three cases, she earned my 5+ mark. The powder lays down in a light layer, blends perfectly, adjusts to the natural skin tone, hides irregularities and, at the same time, does not create the effect of a mask or makeup (that is, it is completely invisible on the face, even up close!). In general, it seemed to me just perfect. I have never seen such a remedy. I will continue to use Cargo_HD Picture Perfect and recommend it to others.

– Introduction: I found out about a French organic make-up brand by chance and immediately wanted to try something. For a long time I dreamed of a mascara in an elegant bamboo packaging. But then all this was somehow forgotten. A friend, a beauty editor, gave me this brand of lipstick for the New Year. Thus began my acquaintance with organic decoration, which I had never dealt with in my life. I liked the lipstick and wanted more. Here, for testing, I got the Zao mineral powder, which became my favorite. I will definitely not exchange it for any analogs!

Appearance: the packaging is very beautiful. It is made by hand from real bamboo. Moreover, all products are supplied in cute canvas bags. The powder box itself consists of two parts: the lid and the main part. The cover is attached with magnets. Someone thinks such a design is inconvenient: I immediately got used to it and did not experience any difficulties in order to open / close the jar. Unfortunately, the packaging has some drawbacks. Mirror and sponge (or brush) are missing. I have to carry around an old Shiseido powder box with a sponge inside. Not very comfortable.

Expectations: in the description of the compact powder Zao it is said that it is designed to perfectly even out the skin tone, give it a matte finish, and also have an antiseptic effect. In my opinion, the product fulfills everything stated. No new inflammations appeared on the face, so I can even vouch for the antiseptic effect. The powder contains minerals, as well as bamboo stem powder, micronized silver, organic silicon, squalene, shea butter, aloe extract, macadamia, cocoa and olive oils. At the same time, there is not a hint of silicones or other substances harmful to my skin in it (I have an intolerance to dimethicone).

Reality: To be honest, I was very pleased with the composition, however, as well as the amazing properties of this powder. She fit me perfectly. And this despite the rather dark shade (I got 302, peach-beige). The powder lays down very easily, in a fairly thin layer. At the same time, it perfectly evens out the tone, removes skin redness. After using it, compliments literally fell on me. Of course, by four o’clock in the afternoon, a greasy shine still appears, but very insignificant. At the same time, my skin, prone to oily, but in need of constant hydration, feels just fine and comfortable. I will probably never get tired of singing the praises of this powder! She is perfect in all respects. It can be applied to completely bare skin even with a sponge: the layer will be very delicate and natural. There will be no problems with updating your makeup either. The second layer fits perfectly without creating a puff pastry effect. In short, I will buy Zao powder over and over again. Other means simply ceased to exist for me!

– Introduction: I have a longtime love with MAC cosmetics. In addition to the variety of makeup products that I stare at for a couple of hours, I really appreciate this brand for the fact that they are constantly releasing new high-tech products. This time I was able to test a new powder from the Studio line, which is a cross between a powder and a gel-like emulsion.

Appearance: packaging design – classic for MAC. Traditionally, there is no mirror and any sponge. I always use my brushes to apply, and for me this is not a problem, but perhaps it will seem inconvenient to someone.

Expectations: the first thing that distinguishes it from all the powders I know is its consistency. The description states that the product provides a dense, thin coating and weightless application.

Reality: and indeed it is. Due to the consistency unusual for the powder, it is completely invisible that you are applying something to your face, moreover, I personally do not really see it on the brush. It doesn’t even leave any suspension in the air when you pick it up. At the same time, it perfectly evens out the skin tone, hides minor imperfections (for serious ones, it is still better to use a concealer) and leaves a satin, slightly damp finish. Of the minuses, I can note that, like other products in the MAS from professional lines, the powder dries the skin. But I liked the result so much that I solve this problem with a slightly more intense application of moisturizer.

– Introduction: another worthy brand with very affordable prices. If you want to try something new, like a lip tint or a highlighter, and you feel sorry for the money for a flagship product, you can most likely find an analogue from Catrice.

Appearance: Color Correcting Mattifying Powder primarily attracts with its appearance. I love such beautiful products. The packaging itself, however, is cheap and ascetic (there is no sponge or mirror) and is instantly overwritten. But at this price, it would be strange to expect something else.

Expectations: the powder is declared as matting and is designed to correct skin imperfections by combining several shades: pink refreshes the complexion, purple brightens the skin, green neutralizes redness, and beige evens out.

Reality: sectors when typing on a brush are mixed, and the output is a very light shade for girls with unproblematic skin. As expected, the powder mattes well, but it is more of a powder-veil, so the coating turns out to be completely light, subtle and imperceptible. The overall skin tone is literally evened out a little. Serious redness or inflammation will not be hidden, alas. After a few hours, the matte effect disappears and you want to apply the powder again.

I think that for myself I will leave this product as a veil and will not try to use it as a full-fledged foundation powder. After all, she has such a pretty jar.

– Introduction: Vichy cosmetics were not particularly favored before. However, once I tried the cleansers, scrub and mask of this brand and from personal experience I was convinced that this cosmetics is very, very worthy, and most importantly – affordable. So, when I had a chance to experience Vichy powder on myself, I did not hesitate, but immediately began to apply the product to my face.

Appearance: the box of gold color immediately interested me, like a real magpie. Powder and snow-white sponge are neatly located inside. Oh yes! What is especially important in powder boxes is that there is a mirror. For this, an additional point in favor of the cosmetic product.

Expectations: Despite the fact that I work in the fashion industry, I was never particularly interested in ingredients when choosing cosmetics. The result is important. In this case, the cosmetic company promises an even natural tone and UV protection.

Reality: I could hardly feel the latter in an office environment, but the tone remained even throughout the day. And even in the evening, the skin still looked fresh. True, I still managed to find one drawback. I don’t really like the smell of powder, but here it haunted me all day long. If I were a technologist, I would advise adding a fragrant fragrance to the composition of the product. But this is my subjective and, perhaps, overly critical opinion. The powder perfectly withstood all the tests, and then it is worthy to settle on your cosmetic table.
