Younger teenagers prefer to do homework in the company of their peers, and high school students prefer to do it alone. But they are the ones who value the participation and help of their parents more than other schoolchildren. “11-14-year-olds learn about themselves in communication with other children: they compare, evaluate, contrast, learn from each other,” explains child psychologist Natalya Evsikova.
