Risk factors for the development of this dangerous neoplasm include: melanoma occurring in another family member, childhood sunburn, irritation of pigmented nevi, light skin.

2/ 10 Contact dermatitis

Contact dermatitis is a hypersensitivity reaction to an irritant or chemical. An inflammatory reaction occurs when the skin is excessively sensitive to a given substance. The symptoms of the disease are itchy lumps and blisters on the erythematous surface at the point of contact of the allergen with the skin.

Barley is a small abscess located on the edge of the lower or upper eyelid. It is caused by a staphylococcal infection in this area. If left untreated and recurring, it can lead to the formation of a chalazion. In the treatment of barley, antibiotics in drops or ointments are used.

Urticaria is a skin condition with blisters. They look like nettle burn and cause similar symptoms such as itching and burning. Urticaria can be acute or chronic. : certain foods and drinks, medications, infections, UV rays, preservatives, dyes and much more.

Common acne has a multifactorial etiology. The factors influencing the formation of blackheads, papules and pustules include: genetic background, bacterial infection, excessive keratinization of the hair follicle, excessive seborrhea. Skin lesions caused by acne can leave scars, so we should not take its symptoms lightly. Treatment includes, for example, antibiotics, benzoyl peroxide, retinoids.

Plaque psoriasis is a relatively common disease that affects approximately 2-3% of the Caucasian population. The etiology of this disease is complex. Apart from genetic determinants, chronic bacterial and viral infections as well as an immunological basis are also important. Primary lesions are red papules covered with silvery scales. The most common locations of skin lesions are: knees, elbows, hairy scalp and the lumbar region. The disease is not contagious!

Contagious impetigo is a common bacterial disease that usually occurs in children. It is highly infectious. The etiological factors are staphylococci and streptococci. Impetigo can occur as a primary disease within unchanged skin or as a complication of other diseases, such as atopic dermatitis or chicken pox. The disease is characterized by vesicles with watery content on the erythematous substrate. The lesions burst and form the very characteristic honey-yellow scabs. They are usually accompanied by itching and burning.

Herpes simplex is an illness caused by the herpes simplex virus. The virus activates when immunity declines and begins to multiply rapidly. After a short time, vesicles filled with serous fluid will appear. After a few days, the bubbles begin to burst. The most common localization of herpes is the area around the labia. An infection around the eye can lead to viral conjunctivitis and keratitis, which can cause permanent eye damage and even blindness.

Shingles is caused by a viral infection. It is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox – Varicella Zoster Virus. Most often, shingles occur in adults. The symptoms of the disease are numerous, small vesicles characterized by serous-bloody contents. The lesions are usually located along one dermatome and are painful. People who have not had chickenpox in the past can catch it from a patient with shingles.

Mycoses of the feet and nails are most often caused by dermatophytes. The infection is favored by a reduction in the body’s immunity, maceration, and increased sweating of the skin. The disease mainly affects adults. Dermatophytes can be infected in large groups of people, in places where it is warm and humid, e.g. in a swimming pool. Onychomycosis mainly affects the big toe and manifests itself as a thickening and discoloration of the nail.
