Muffin is called sweet pastry pastry made from biscuit or yeast dough. Cupcakes were known in ancient Rome, but this pastry became popular in the Middle Ages. Since the XNUMXth century, muffins have spread throughout Europe. In many countries, they have become a ritual dish that is prepared for weddings, Christmas and Easter.

Cupcake: the usual recipe

Simple homemade cupcake recipe

To make a simple yet delicious homemade muffin, you need to take:

  • 100 grams of butter (or margarine)
  • 1 a glass of granulated sugar
  • 200 grams of sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tsp soda
  • vanillin
  • 100 grams of raisins
  • 200 grams of shelled walnuts
  • 8-9 tbsp flour

In order for the cake dough to become well structured and the baked goods to be fluffy and porous, it is necessary to saturate the dough with oxygen. To do this, sift the flour before kneading the dough.

First, grind soft butter or margarine with granulated sugar. Then beat in eggs and, continuing to grind sugar with butter and eggs, add sour cream, soda and vanillin. Mix all ingredients until smooth. Then add washed and dried raisins and kernels chopped with a knife. Mix everything well and add flour. The dough should be like thick sour cream in consistency.

Grease the heat-resistant form generously with margarine, put the dough in it. Smooth the surface with a spoon and place in the oven for 40 minutes. A prerequisite is to preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Homemade muffins are baked at medium temperature.

Check the readiness of the cake with a match or a wooden toothpick. Turn the baked muffin onto a board, cover with a dish and quickly turn it over.

Fruit jelly cupcake recipe

To prepare a regular cupcake with marmalade, you will need:

  • 175 grams of creamy margarine
  • 75 grams of powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 6-8 tbsp. sheet marmalade, cut into pieces
  • 220 grams of pancake flour
  • 100 grams of light pitted raisins

First, beat the soft margarine very well until fluffy. After that, rub it with granulated sugar until white. Then add the separately beaten eggs in small portions, continuing to beat the mass after each introduction of the portion.

Put marmalade, vanillin and raisins (washed and dried with a napkin) into the mixture. Lastly, add flour and knead the dough.

Densely grease the pan with margarine, put the dough in it, smooth the surface and bake at 180 ° C for 1–1,5 hours.

If the cake is not removed from the mold, you need to put it on a wet towel for 5 minutes. Then turn the form onto the board. The cupcake should be out of shape. If this does not help, it should be carried out along the inner surface of the mold with a thin knife.

Check the doneness of the cake with a wooden toothpick or splinter. If it turns out to be dry, remove the cake from the oven, let it cool for 15–20 minutes and remove from the mold.
