Colafit is a dietary supplement that is used to replenish collagen deficiencies in the body. Collagen is part of the connective tissue and it makes the skin supple, elastic and wrinkle-free. What are the indications and contraindications for the use of Colafit? How to properly dose the Colafit supplement?
Colafit – composition and characteristics of the preparation
Colafit is 99,9% pure, crystalline, freeze-dried collagen. Freeze drying is the best possible way to preserve your products. This type of preservation is used in the manufacture of medicines and the production of specialty foods. Freeze drying is used, for example, in the production of food for cosmonauts, mountaineers and sportsmen. Production by freeze-drying allows to obtain a product of the highest purity and best absorbability. Collagen freeze-dried in Colafit does not contain any additives or preservatives. The Colafit supplement cube does not contain any organic or chemical admixtures or metals. One cube, i.e. 8 mg of freeze-dried collagen, corresponds to 800 mg of the highest quality collagen gel.
Why is collagen supplementation important?
Collagen is an important element of connective tissue that binds skin cells, cartilage, bones etc. Collagen is produced by the body and basically, its supplementation is not needed for a certain period of time. If the body produces enough collagen, the skin is smooth and taut. In addition, the functioning of the joints is not burdened with pain, wounds heal efficiently, bones heal quickly after fracture, and blood vessels remain elastic. Unfortunately, after the age of 30, the amount of collagen produced in the body decreases, and these deficiencies can be noticed by observing changes in the skin, which becomes slack and loses its elasticity. This is followed by joint pain and problems with the blood vessels. Therefore, in the event of a significant drop in collagen levels, its supplementation is extremely important.
It is worth noting that collagen is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, it is a protein with a large molecule that must be broken down into amino acids, so the consumed collagen does not build up into the joints and does not replenish collagen losses in connective tissue.
