Cola cao with Paralympic Sport
Cola Cao, the Drink of Champions, renews its commitment to Spanish sport as a sponsor of the Paralympic Team.
Idilia Foods, a Spanish food company that is part of the Cola Cao brand, has signed an agreement to help athletes prepare in the best conditions for the next Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games
The power mark has been attached to the Paralympic Objective Sport Support Plan (ADOP), whose objective is to provide the best possible conditions to Paralympic athletes Spaniards facing the Olympic events that are held every four years.
With this alliance, Cola Cao reinforces its support for Spanish sport and the values that sports practice encourages, values that it has endorsed as a brand since its origins more than 70 years ago.
This connection to sport led her to join the Olympic movement almost half a century ago, becoming an Olympic food in Munich 72, and a sponsor of the Olympic team in 1988, with the founding of the ADO Plan.
Thanks to the collaboration and contributions of Idilia Foods and the rest of the sponsors of the ADOP Plan, the Paralympic athletes They can access a direct support program in which financial scholarships are provided so that they can dedicate themselves to sport as their main activity, as well as the High Paralympic Performance Program (ARPA),
A comprehensive training support system, which offers aids for support staff, sports equipment, training in high-performance centers, attendance at international competitions or medical services, among others.
Great sports figures to present the sponsorship
On this occasion, and to publicize the renewal of the sponsorship, the brand has had two exceptional sponsors: the athletes Ricky Rubio, from the Spanish Basketball Team and Daniel Stix, from the Spanish wheelchair basketball team.
In a summer in which basketball is the main protagonist when the Eurobasket is held from next August 31. The athletes have celebrated the alliance with a very special one-on-one wheelchair basketball.
During the presentation, an inclusive basketball game was played between Daniel Stix and Ricky Rubio, -sitting in a wheelchair-, along with other children, in which Rubio has been able to verify the difficulty of playing and shooting, and therefore the merit of the Paralympic athletes.
The event was also attended by personalities such as Javier Coromina, Communication Director of Idilia Foods; Miguel Sagarra, Secretary General of the Spanish Paralympic Committee; and Jaime González Castaño, General Director of the Higher Sports Council.
