History of Dugladze
The Dugladze company is quite young, but at the same time it is widely known among consumers. In Georgia, in 2004, Dmitry Dugladze created a company on the basis of a rebuilt cognac production, which was founded in 1980 and had the name “Vaziani”.
After the collapse of the USSR in 1991, the enterprise was taken over by a joint-stock company. For a long time, the company produced not only alcoholic products, but also souvenirs.
In 2000, the owners of the company’s shares decided to split the community and carry out a complete modernization of the equipment. It was decided to name the company in honor of the famous winemaker Dugladze, who played a large and significant role in the development of winemaking in Georgia.
The plant produces its products using raw materials grown on its vineyards, which positively affects the quality of blending. Continuous processing at the enterprise has four lines, which makes it possible to produce about 60 tons of wine material per hour. The main production of drinks is concentrated in the city of Tbilisi.
To date, the development of production is carried out by the sons of Dugladze, who were able to bring the brand to the global market for alcoholic beverages.
Features of the production of Dugladze
To create this wonderful drink, professional blenders mix several types of grapes: Pinot, Zitzka and Rkatsiteli.
Next, the blend is subjected to double purification in a special container, which is called the Charente alambique (copper distillation cube).
The next step is to mix alcohols of different aging years in certain proportions. The resulting blend is sent for aging in barrels, which are made from mountain Caucasian oak. The barrels are not closed, and most of the spirits can evaporate because of this, spirits are added to the container.
