Recipe for coffee with rum and almonds
Ingredients
1 tbsp spiced rum (Cuban rum works best)
50 g almonds
1,5 tbsp ground coffee
50 ml whipping cream (33% fat)
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp powdered sugar
A pinch of vanillin
How to cook
Grind almonds in a coffee grinder into powder.
Separate the egg into yolk and white.
Beat the yolk with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar until light and airy (beat with a whisk for 3-5 minutes).
Beat cold cream with vanilla whisk until it thickens.
Brew 1,5 tablespoons of aromatic coffee in 100 ml. boiling water in cezve and heat over low heat. At the first appearance of foam, turn off the fire, remove the cezve (turk) from the stove and let it brew for 3-4 minutes.
Strain hot coffee through a strainer. Pour coffee not to the edges of the cup, leaving about 1,5 cm.
Add 1 tablespoon of rum to coffee.
Pour 2 tablespoons of beaten egg yolks with powdered sugar. The foam may sink to the bottom at first, but after a minute it will rise again.
Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of ground almonds over the foam.
Put unsweetened whipped cream on almonds, you can use a pastry bag. Ready!
Recipe with lemon and orange
Ingredients for 4 servings:
450 gr. strong black coffee.
1 orange
1 lemon.
3 art. spoons of rum
1/3 cup powdered sugar
How to cook
To make coffee with rum, cut an orange and half a lemon into thin slices, pour in the coffee and put it on the fire.
When the coffee begins to boil, pour in the rum, pour in the powdered sugar, mix. As soon as the powder has dissolved, remove the coffee from the heat, pour into hot cups.
Cut the remaining half of the lemon into thin slices and decorate the cups with them.
Also, do not forget that you can safely add various spices, berries and fruits to coffee with rum. The only rule to follow is your imagination and taste.
