Coffee – friend or foe of an erection?
Coffee - friend or foe of an erection?Coffee – friend or foe of an erection?

Many of us start the day with a cup of strong, aromatic coffee. Drinking this stimulating drink easily becomes a habit, and as you know, any addiction leads to smaller or larger problems. So what effect does drinking coffee have on an erection? Does it harm or does it help to increase sex drive?

Although we do not think about the influence of coffee on our body on a daily basis, it is worth mentioning the effects that we can expect after its frequent and long-term consumption. In the world of coffee science, there are as many good things as bad things to say about coffee.

It is certain that drinking coffee alone throughout life does not kill or contribute to premature death, but overuse of it can cause many diseases. It turns out that this liquor has both many advantages and disadvantages:

  • Antioxidants – kawa it is a source of antioxidants that contribute to the removal of toxins from the body. However, the accumulation of free radicals in the body caused by drinking coffee too often can lead to the destruction of healthy cells, such as the brain, heart, kidneys, and even cause cancer.
  • According to the latest research kawa lowers the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Improves circulation – drinking 2-4 cups a day causes the dilation of blood vessels, and thus increases blood circulation in the body.
  • Supports slimming (of course without added sugar, fat milk and cream).
  • It irritates the digestive system and removes electrolytes, vitamins and minerals from the body. Therefore, it can lead to serious deficiencies of these ingredients.
  • It raises blood pressure, so it is not a good choice for people with hypertension and heart disease.

When it comes to erection problems, there is no clear answer in this matter either. Researchers from Cambodia found that excessive coffee consumption leads to problems with potency in men. According to them, due to the presence of plant hormones in this drink, similar to female estrogens, drinking 3-4 cups of the infusion a day can lead to a slow decline in potency.

Despite this, it has been proven that a man’s sperm after drinking coffee have much more mobility, which increases the chances of fertilization. Scientists from the University of Texas have a different opinion than scientists from Cambodia. They have proven that men who consume 1 to a maximum of 2 cups of coffee a day are 42% less likely to experience erection problems, and those who consume 3-4 cups a day reduce the risk by 39%. According to researchers from Texas, caffeine affects the relaxation of the cochlear arteries of the penis and the smooth muscles of the cavernous bodies, and thus increases the blood supply in these areas.

As you can see, there is no one right answer to the question whether kawa has a good effect on male potency. On the plus side, we can note:

  • Stimulating the body to action, stimulation, short-term supply of a large dose of energy.
  • Improving blood circulation throughout the body, also in intimate areas.
  • According to some – faster sperm movement.

There are also downsides:

  • Too much caffeine in the blood can lead to the production of stress hormones, which will not have a good effect on sex life. Stress reduces drive.
  • Overusing coffee leads to sleep problems, which translates into lower testosterone levels.
  • Too much caffeine can cause health problems.

To sum up, small doses of caffeine – for men, on average, from 1 to 2 cups a day – can be helpful with erection problems, but in excessive amounts, coffee has a destructive effect not only on sex life, but also on the entire body.
