Description of the peculiarities of growing the grape variety “Codryanka”
The “Kodryanka” variety is not particularly demanding on the composition of the soil and bears fruit successfully even on poor soils. When choosing a landing site, it is necessary to provide that the groundwater lies at a depth of at least 2 m, and the site should not be in a lowland or wetland.
Grape seedlings take root very well and can be used as a scion. This grafting method will significantly improve the quality and volume of the crop.
The bushes of this variety are quite voluminous and tall – this must also be taken into account when planning plantings. The distance between seedlings should be at least 2 m, between rows – 3 m. Regular feeding and watering are the main elements of caring for the variety. Watering should be especially abundant after planting young seedlings and in very hot weather. For the winter, planting is recommended to poke up and cover with straw or coniferous spruce branches, then no frosts can harm the grapes.
With proper and timely care of the vineyard, the Codryanka variety will show its best side. It is ideal for individual cultivation and is suitable both for sale and for your own use.
