Clemastin is a drug with a wide range of uses. Thanks to the content of clemastine, it helps in combating allergic reactions, such as runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, associated with rhinitis, and in the fight against allergic skin problems. Clemastine acts as a blockade of intensively secreting histamine.
Clemastin It is perfect for fighting urticaria, contact dermatitis or swelling caused by allergies or insect bites. It is a very fast-acting preparation that reduces the risk of anaphylactic shock. Effectively prevents the release of histamine, which saves health and even life.
Anaphylactic shock is a sudden release of histamine into the body, often following the consumption of allergenic food products (such as seafood, nuts, fish, cinnamon). You can easily recognize it by the fact that a person has a problem with breathing, his arms and legs are shaking, the body turns red, and there is swelling. Shock can also occur through the bite of an insect – wasp or bee.

Allergies often show up suddenly. Many of us are not aware of allergies at all until we eat something new, or we are bitten by an insect. In this situation, the risk of anaphylactic shock can be very high and dangerous. Sudden swelling can be especially dangerous when it appears in the esophagus, making it difficult to breathe. Clemastin prevents the release of histamine very quickly. It is also recommended for people who have asthma and allergies.

The drug is available in the form of a syrup or tablets, and also in the form of a solution for injection. Only the doctor decides about the dose – how often and in what form the drug should be taken. While applying the treatment Clemastinem do not drink alcohol, drink coffee and use intoxicants.
It should also be borne in mind that this is a potent drug that releases very quickly into the bloodstream and therefore dosing may involve some dose side effectssuch as distraction, drowsiness or impaired concentration. Dizziness, nausea, or stomach problems (diarrhea or constipation) may also occur. People who consume it often complain of temporary hypersensitivity to daylight. These side effects are not serious, but remember not to drive or operate machinery while taking this treatment. The drug cannot be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, because it crosses the placenta and gets into breast milk..
It should be remembered that the simultaneous use of the drug Clemastin with sedatives, hypnotics or psychotropic drugs, it inhibits the effect of clemastine. Therefore, during treatment, the doctor usually recommends discontinuing the medications (in the case of people with mental disorders or depression, the doctor recommends staying in hospital for the duration of the treatment).
The drug is usually used twice a day (morning and evening), although the doctor decides the dose, which depends on the patient’s age, weight, diseases and medications taken so far. The dose indicated by the doctor should not be exceeded, because there is a risk of cardiovascular collapse.
In the case of non-hospital treatment, the drug should be stored in a refrigerator in a tightly closed container. After completing the treatment, the drug should be discarded. The manufacturer of the drug is POLFA.
