Circus and Gastronomy a la Carte

This is the IV edition of the Castilla y León International Circus Festival and it comes with a very interesting initiative of fusion of art and gastronomy.

Spaces with noses is the new proposal of the Cir & Co Festival of Avila, which will merge the art of gastronomy with circus arts, in an initiative of the Junta de Castilla León and the Avila and the Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Confae)

The circus and its activities will be taken as in previous editions of the Cir & co Festival to different hotel establishments in the city, to unite gastronomy and culture in the same place.

From September 8 to 11, tradition and avant-garde will bring together a total of 140 activities from different circus disciplines, which will be carried out by some thirty companies from eight countries in Europe and America.

The circus proposals will take place, late in the afternoon, in catering establishments so that “diners are surprised” while they enjoy their leisure space.

The characteristics of each performance will be adapted to each of the venues, in order to reach every corner of the city and promote the regional and local gastronomy.

The circus is also served à la carte

As is usual in the development of the contest program, the different companies will be distributed throughout the city so that the diner or spectator can have and live closely in their usual leisure places a small dose of humor, nostalgia and about all good taste.

The opening of the Festival will be on September 8 at 21.00:XNUMX p.m., where they will try to cheer the world up through the “most diverse and delusional” juggling and balance experiments with a great sense of humor. The opening ceremony will be carried out by Cirquez and his Brain Doctor at the Country Soul restaurant (Parque El Soto).

The rest of the days they will bring us proposals for all tastes with different alternatives:

  • At the Soul Kitchen, Wilbur will create “impossible situations to surprise the audience” with stunts, crazy gags and risk.
  • In the Restaurant De Cine, Ninocir, he will develop the Musicoloco show where the well-known clown will liven up the evening, with a car full of melodies, noises and devices.
  • At La Bruja Restaurant, Raúlezcirq, a tango player in love, will perform juggling with bouncing balls with his number.
  • At Palacio Sofraga, Zirkozaurre will delight attendees with his brilliant magic and humor, as well as at the Reyes Católicos Restaurant.

The mixture of traditional circus initiatives, where tightrope walkers, clowns and rope dancers evolve in perfect harmony with the contemporary circus, where the theatrical elements give it greater strength and appeal to the spectator.
