Chubushnik: landing
A real gardener always dreams that his site would be not only the most fertile, but also beautiful. Chubushnik is a great way to add elegant beauty and grace to your garden. Against the background of snow-white flowers, other decorative crops will look even more attractive. But in order to grow this miracle, you need to know the features of planting and growing a plant.
Chubushnik: rules for planting in open ground
The place for growing a chubushnik should be well lit and spacious. Close and densely planted corners should be avoided. Chubushnik likes air to pass freely through its crown. It is recommended to plant seedlings in early spring – before the start of vegetative processes or in early autumn, so that the plant has time to take root before the onset of frost.
Stages of planting chubushnik seedlings:
- Prepare a planting hole in advance for a seedling measuring 50 × 50 × 50.
- Place a 10-15 cm thick drainage layer on the bottom.
- Prepare a nutrient mixture with soil, humus and sand and place a layer over the drain.
- After the soil has settled a little, place the seedling in the hole so that the root collar is flush with the surface.
- Water the seedling liberally and add enough soil to even out the edges of the hole.
After 2 days, mulch the surface of the trunk circle with peat with a layer of 4-5 cm. At this, the work on planting the mock-orange can be considered complete.
Caring for a chubushnik after planting in open ground
When caring for a chubushnik, it is very important to know that it does not tolerate drought. With insufficient watering, its leaves lose their elasticity and sag. The norm is considered to be weekly watering the bush with 2-3 buckets of water. During flowering, watering must be increased.
Having carried out the spring mulching of the trunk circle, the gardener greatly facilitates his work of caring for the shrub. The mulching process slows down the growth of weeds and helps to maintain soil moisture
To feed the plant, it is best to use manure diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10. It will be enough to add a bucket of such fertilizer in early spring. After the shrub has faded, it is recommended to fertilize the soil with wood ash. Complex fertilizers for flowering plants begin to be used from the 4th year of growth.
For abundant flowering, old and damaged shoots must be cut off annually. The secret to lush flowering is that the most inflorescences are formed on one-year-old shoots.
When planning to decorate your plot with mock orange, try combining it with other ornamental plants. The shrub will look great with lilacs, hydrangeas or spirea. As a lower level, you can put the host. In any case, the design of your site will only benefit from the presence of a chubushnik and will give you a lot of pleasant emotions.
