Have you decided on a New Year’s outfit, found gifts for loved ones and even made a New Year’s menu? The only thing left is to buy a Christmas tree.
It’s great when it is real and smells like pine needles. But in recent years
What should you pay attention to when buying an artificial Christmas tree so that it delights with its beauty for as long as possible?
Blue, white, light blue… And there is also one with cones, snow spray and a built-in garland. And, of course, the classic greens. The herringbone can be of any color, the choice depends only on your imagination. So is the form. The A-silhouette tree resembles its natural counterpart as much as possible. In a compact spruce, the lower tiers are narrowed – optimal for a cramped apartment, as well as if you want to organize a dance floor or a children’s play area.
If a place for a fluffy beauty was found only in the corner of the room,
Size matters too… A small half-meter Christmas tree can be placed on the table. For spacious rooms, a tall, lush spruce up to 5,5 m in height is suitable. Do you want to involve children in the process of decorating a Christmas tree? In this case, a tree with a height of 130-150 cm will do. Ideally, at least 20-25 cm should remain from the top of the tree to the ceiling.
Turn on the scent… Artificial spruce should be odorless. None at all. Do you smell an unpleasant smell? It is better to refuse such a purchase: most likely, it is made of toxic materials. By the way, it is better to buy spruce in a store where the smell is especially noticeable. But in the open air, you can not feel anything.
Checking the stand… The stability of the Christmas tree will depend on its quality. And this is one of the main selection criteria if there is a cat or small children in the apartment. The stand can be wood, metal or plastic. The latter are suitable for compact desktop products. For a tree over 1,5 m in height, choose a four-point, cross-shaped structure. Chips, cracks and other mechanical damage should not be.
The branches of the tree should be elastic and easy to bend… Try bending the twig a little, and then remove your hand. If it returned to its original position, you can safely hang expensive designer decorations and Christmas tree decorations inherited from your great-grandmother on this one. Pat the needles against “growth” along the entire length of the branch – no artificial needles should remain on the palm of your hand. Also check for any pointy ends that could hurt children or animals.
Plastic models are the most durable… A PVC tree is inexpensive, with soft needles, but does not look like a real tree. When buying one, be sure to pay attention to the quality certificate. They ate from a fishing line, fluffy and voluminous, more like a pine tree. Well, the trees are made of molded rubber
What else to pay attention to
