Christmas tree made of beads: master class

There is still time before the New Year, which means you can have time to “grow” your own green Christmas tree. We offer an original author’s project for fans of beading.

Christmas tree of beads

Materials:

  • green cabin – 50 g,
  • brown felling – about 5 g,
  • brown wire (or copper) – about 50 m,
  • alabaster,
  • colored stones,
  • two beads for pearls,
  • bugles,
  • stand

The herringbone consists of 10 tiers. Each tier has four branches.

Top + 1st tier: cut a wire 45 cm long. In the middle of the wire, string a gold bead, * white bugle beads, a gold and silver bead, a green bead-cutter *. Pass the other end of the wire as in needle weaving from * to *. On each end of the wire, dial 4 beads (photo 1), twist the ends of the wire together 3-4 turns. On one of the wires, make a loop with a set of 4 green beads, 2 brown, 4 green. Make the same loop at the other end (photo 2). Twist the ends of the wire 2 turns and make two more loops, as shown in photo 3.

2nd tier: 4 pieces of wire 25 cm each. Make 4 branches of three loops each with a set: 3 green beads, 2 brown, 3 green (photo 4-6). Twist the wire 4-5 turns from eyelet to eyelet, 3 turns from the last eyelet.

3nd tier: from 4 pieces of wire (each 30 cm long) make 4 branches of 5 loops each. The first three loops are like on a branch from the second tier, in the next two loops, instead of three green loops, dial 4 (photo 7).

4nd tier: 8 pieces of wire, 30 cm each. Make 8 branches with five loops in each (photo 8). The first three loops are like on a twig from the second tier; in the next two loops, cast on 6 green beads. After the last loop, twist the wire down 4-5 turns. From two such branches, collect one by screwing them with a spiral for 3-4 turns (photo 9).

5nd tier: from 4 pieces of wire (each 35 cm long) make 4 branches of 7 loops each. The first three loops are like on a twig from the second tier; in the next four loops, cast on 6 beads.

6nd tier: 8 pieces of wire, 30 cm each. Make 8 branches with five loops in each (photo 8), as for tier 4. Collect one of these two branches. Cut off an additional piece of wire 20 cm long. From the last loop, wind 12 turns with a spiral with additional wire. Then screw the second branch on 15 turns with a spiral (photo 10).

7nd tier: cut 4 pieces of wire 60 cm long. Draw the first loop in the middle of the wire. Next, cast on 6 more loops, as on the 6th tier, on the same end of the wire so that the other end remains long. After the last loop, twist 6-7 turns. On the other (long) end of the wire, also dial 7 loops (photo 11,12). With an additional wire, twist the twig with a spiral downward by 8 turns.

8nd tier: cut off 4 pieces of wire 60 cm long and 4 pieces of 30 cm each. Twist twigs from a wire 60 cm long, as for the 7th tier, from a wire 30 cm long – twigs with five loops (photo 13). Collect one of these two branches, screwing them with a spiral. First, start a spiral on a twig with two ends – 15 turns, then screw a small branch for 15 turns (photo 14).

9nd tier: the same as for the 8th tier, only increase the number of turns from 15 to 18. 10th tier: cut 4 pieces of wire 70 cm each, 4 pieces – 35 cm each.Make branches in the same way as for tiers 8, 9. Only in a large branch, dial 8 and 9 loops, in a small one – 7. The number of spiral turns increases to 22.

Assembly

Take additional wire (do not cut off the coil!) And, starting from the top, wind the ends of the wire downwards (photo 15-22). An additional rod is not required, since due to the number of tiers (and branches in each of them), the trunk thickens and does not bend. The distance between the tiers is from 0,8 (from the top) to 1,2 cm (to the bottom). After assembly, place the Christmas tree in the stand. Dilute the alabaster and stick in the Christmas tree. Wait 5 minutes for the alabaster to dry. Then, using the transparent glue of the moment, decorate the “ground” with pebbles or beads.

By the way

If you take not green, but white beads, you get a Christmas tree covered with snow. Very impressive too!
