The long-standing European tradition of decorating the entrance to the house for the holiday has come to us. Guests can easily find your door if they see the sign on it: “The holiday is here!”
Velvet wreath
- Materials:
- Foam projectile stick
- for water aerobics
- Velvet green
- Brooches and other decorative items
- round with rhinestones
- Red satin ribbons
- Thick cardboard
- Tools:
- Glue gun, knife
Photo 1: Cut the gymnastic equipment lengthwise. Cut a piece from half of the projectile so that you get a hoop of the desired diameter.
Photo 2: Using a glue gun, connect the ends of the cut to make a hoop. The glue should not be very hot so that the material does not melt.
Photo 3: Twist the ring slightly and stick it onto a piece of cardboard. Cut off the excess cardboard – it is only needed to fix the shape.
Photo 4: Cut out a long strip of green velvet. Trim the hoop with velvet – the fabric will gather in folds.
Photo 5: Decorate the hoop with brooches, parts of hairpins, rhinestones. Choose round elements of different sizes, preferably red and white.
Photo 6: From two satin ribbons in shades of red, fold a bow and secure it with thread. Make a loop from the ribbons. Attach the loop and bow, and pin the bow with a large pendant brooch.
Tip: As a base, you can use ready-made foam or oasis hoops – they are used to create floral compositions. Match the ribbons to match the jewelry to complement the Christmas wreath.
- Materials:
- cardboard
- Green taffeta,
- Decorative elements
- Glue “Super-Moment”
- Satin thin ribbon
Photo1: Cut out the base of the Christmas tree from thick cardboard – an isosceles triangle with sides 34 cm and a base of 27 cm.If you wish, you can paint it green with acrylic paints or gouache. Mark out the triangular base, drawing it in parallel lines with a step of 2 cm. At the top of the tree, mark and make a hole for the suspension tape.
Photo 2: Cut out strips 10 cm wide from the taffeta. The length of each fabric strip should be approximately twice the length of the tree marked on the cardboard. Fold the strip in half lengthwise with the right side inward, slanting off the ends. Sew along the edge by hand to create a long horizontal pouch. Turn the strip right out. Gather it around the edge with a thread, then pull it off to make a shuttlecock of the desired length. Make the required number of shuttlecocks.
Photo 3: Glue the shuttlecocks to the cardboard base according to the markings using Super-Moment glue.
Photo 4: Decorate the Christmas tree with rhinestones and other small decorative elements. Under the lower tier, you can glue a lace ribbon tied to a thread to match the decor – like the edge of a flirty underskirt. Pass the double-folded satin ribbon into the hole under the upper flounce on the front side and tie a fixing knot.
- Materials:
- Fur ponytails-pendants from an old scarf
- Blue organza ribbon
- Golden ribbon
- Brooch with blue stones
- Decorative gift boxes
- Double sided tape
- cardboard
1. For the manufacture of this door decoration, fur tails-pendants cut from an old stole are suitable. Cut out a crescent moon large enough to accommodate all the pendants. Punch holes in the ends of the crescent so that you can thread the hanging strap through later. Stick double-sided tape on the cardboard base. Place the pendants on it so that their arrangement resembles a spruce paw. For reliability, each pendant can be secured to the cardboard with several stitches.
2. Pass the ends of a wide organza ribbon through the prepared holes, tie. Form lush bows from ribbons of different textures, place them one on top of the other, fix with several stitches. Secure them to the cardboard base with glue (or sew on). Attach a large brooch with blue stones in the center of the bows, and on the ribbons – several decorative elements that match in color with the ribbons. Hang your finished piece of jewelry in the best location for the crescent moon.
