Christian Dior fall / winter 2015

While everyone is looking at the spring / summer beauty trends, Peter Philips, Creative Director of Makeup for Dior, has created a new graphic look based on deep autumn colors for the fall / winter show.

“I wanted to draw attention to the eyes with rich and graphic eye makeup. It turned out to be a truly catwalk look, – says the makeup artist. – This highly sophisticated, visible eye makeup contrasts with a translucent, radiant tone. It is a combination of subtlety and sophistication with clean, crisp lines. This look captures the spirit of the Raf Simons collection, which is characterized by flawless femininity and graphic accents at the same time. “

The complexion was translucent and radiant in contrast to the dark graphical eye makeup. Peter chose Diorskin Star Foundation for the perfect coverage that looks natural to hide minor imperfections around the eyes, using the new Fix It 2 in 1 Prime & Concealer, which he applied with his fingers. Finally, the makeup artist added some light with the new Diorskin Nude Cosmopolite concealer.

Peter Philips reveals the details of the expressive look in four colors. The eyeshadows of autumn khaki and plum from the new palette 5 Couleurs Cosmopolite Exubérante and bronze and brown from 5 Couleurs Cosmopolite Eclectic are applied to the entire upper eyelid.

A crescent-shaped finish created with a slightly damp sponge for maximum coverage.

The lash line is highlighted by the black Dior Pro Liner. As a final step, the lashes are curled, covered with Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum and three coats of Diorshow Pro Black mascara for a false lash effect.

“I also used Fix It 2 in 1 Prime & Concealer on my lips as it provides coverage and hydration at the same time. It dampens the natural lip color and blends in with the rest of your makeup. ”

Different shades of varnish were used on each hand of the models. Color combinations ranged from blue and black to burgundy and milky pink.

The laconic hairstyles were created by stylist Guido Palau, who always works at Christian Dior shows. The makeup artist gave the models low, asymmetrical ponytails that fell over one shoulder.
