Choosing the right baby toy

Before buying the toy

Always check that the toys have the CE marking, meeting the essential safety requirements.

Always respect the age groups recommended on the packaging.

Prefer stores that allow access to the models on display: you will be able to handle the toy.

Beware of certain items that sometimes look like toys, but which are not intended for young children (decorative or folkloric collectible dolls, scale models for adults, etc.).

While using the toy

Before giving your little one his new toy, carefully read all safety warnings and instructions for use. Dispose of all packaging immediately plastic, cellophane, etc. On the other hand, keep the box on which the contact details of the manufacturer or importer appear, just in case …

Explain patiently to your toddler, even very young, the right way to use your toy. And then always keep an eye on him!

And after…

Watch out for old toys which may no longer comply with current security requirements, especially if they have batteries. To avoid any accident, it is better to regularly check the condition of the toys.

As soon as a toy is broken or damaged, throw it away altogether, it’s safer!

As soon as baby starts to get up on his hands and knees, remove hanging toys and mobiles above his bed and the playpen.
