The idea is widespread that you should no longer eat eggs when you have cholesterol. Eggs, however, are not as high in calories as we think: 60 kcal for the yolk and 20 kcal for the white. It certainly has saturated lipids which are partly responsible for cardiovascular disease, but in a much lower quantity than in certain other foods. By way of comparison, a hard-boiled egg (approximately 50 g) contains 5,3 g of lipids against 18 for 50 g of crisps.
