Chocolate sausage. Video recipe

Sausage is not only a meat dish served as a snack. The famous dessert – chocolate sausages – has a similar name. For its preparation, you can use biscuit, shortbread or sugar cookies, nuts, marmalade and other ingredients.

Chocolate sausage with cookies

this recipe appeared in Soviet cuisine and is familiar to many from childhood. In its basic form, it contains simple and inexpensive foods, but if you add a little nuts and strong alcohol to it, the result is a delicious dessert with an original taste.

You will need: – 400 g of “Strawberry” cookies; – 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder; – 3 tablespoons of sugar; – 100 ml of fat milk or cream; – 150 g of good butter; – 70 g of dark chocolate; – 2 teaspoons of liquor or brandy; – a pinch of vanillin.

Pour milk into a small saucepan, place on the stove, heat, but do not bring to a boil. Add butter and sugar to it. Stir until smooth. Then add cocoa powder there and stir again. The sugar must dissolve completely.

Fold 3/4 of all the cookies into a deep bowl and mash with a pestle. Pour milk with cocoa into the crumb, as well as liquor or cognac. Mix everything thoroughly. The mass should turn out to be thick and plastic. Then pour the remaining crumbled cookies into it. Mix everything again. Form a sausage from the resulting mass and wrap it tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate the dessert for 1,5 hours. In the meantime, melt the chocolate and pour it over the sausage from all sides. Wait until the chocolate cools down and serve the dessert to the table, having previously cut into circles.

Chocolate sausage with marmalade

The traditional recipe for chocolate sausage can be diversified with a new ingredient – marmalade. This recipe also involves replacing regular milk with condensed milk, this will make the chocolate sausage a little denser.

You will need: – 200 g of Strawberry Biscuits; – 1/2 cup of condensed milk; – 80 g of butter; – 70 g of fruit marmalade without sugar dusting; – a pinch of vanillin or vanilla sugar; – 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder.

Remove the oil from the refrigerator beforehand to soften. Pour condensed milk into a deep bowl, put butter there and beat with a mixer on medium speed. Finely chop the cookies, add to the bulk along with cocoa powder and vanilla. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

Cut the marmalade into cubes and add to the total mass. Roll 2 sausages from the resulting mixture, wrap them tightly in cling film and refrigerate for 1,5 hours. You can serve this dessert with tea or coffee. Also, if desired, a ready-made sausage can be sprinkled with powdered sugar for beauty.
