Chocolate sausage: a recipe from childhood. Video
Chocolate sausage is a favorite children’s delicacy. This dessert does not need to be baked; it requires cookies, cocoa, nuts, chocolate and other ready-to-eat foods. To make the delicacy tasty, keep it in the cold for several hours, the mixture should harden and acquire the desired consistency.
Sausage in chocolate: a favorite delicacy
Sausage-shaped products made from sweet prepared foods are a very popular option in home cooking. Even children can easily prepare such delicacies, because chocolate sausage does not require baking. The only drawback is that a quickly made dessert should lie in the refrigerator for several hours and harden before use.
To prepare a treat, use cocoa, ready-made chocolate of different varieties, cottage cheese, condensed milk, dried fruits, marmalade or nuts. You can make changes to classic recipes – for example, adding to the sausage not sugar, but shortbread cookies, crushed bread crumbs or corn sticks. The main thing is to grind and mix all the components well, then the dessert will acquire the desired consistency and richness of taste.
Chocolate sausage with nuts
Use any nuts to make the treat – walnuts, pine nuts, almonds, or hazelnuts. To give the dessert a richer flavor, pre-fry the kernels in a pan or oven.
You will need: – 300 g of sugar cookies; – 300 g of butter; – 1 glass of sugar; – 2 tablespoons of cocoa; – 0,5 cups of milk; – 0,5 cups of shelled nuts.
Chop the nuts with a knife or crush them into coarse crumbs in a mortar. Grind the cookies in a mixer, melt the butter. Heat the milk and mix with butter, pour cocoa and sugar into the mixture, mix well so that the sugar is completely dissolved.
Pour ground cookies and chopped nuts into the oil mixture, stir the mixture. Put the mixture on a piece of cling film, shape it into a sausage, wrap it tightly with plastic and put the dessert in the refrigerator until it hardens. Cut the frozen sausage into slices and serve with tea.
Nuts can be replaced with seedless raisins that have been soaked in hot water and dried.
Chocolate sausage with cottage cheese
This delicacy has a very delicate creamy taste. The finished sausage can be decorated with glaze or rolled in cocoa powder. Change the recipe by replacing dark chocolate with milk or white – the delicacy will acquire new flavor nuances.
You will need: – 500 g of sugar cookies; – 500 g of soft cottage cheese; – 1 glass of sugar; – 150 g of butter; – 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
For icing: – 150 g of dark chocolate without additives; – 2 tablespoons of cream.
To make the sausage tasty, use only very fresh cottage cheese without grains.
Mash soft cottage cheese with sugar and cocoa, grind cookies. Some of the cookies can be broken into larger pieces – the sausage will look more beautiful when cut. Melt the butter, pour it into the curd mixture, then add the chopped cookies.
Form an oblong sausage from the mass, wrap it with cling film and put it in the cold. Prepare the icing. Break the chocolate into pieces and place in a saucepan. Pour in the cream and, stirring occasionally, heat the mixture until the chocolate is melted. Stir the mixture well and let cool slightly.
Cover the finished product with chocolate glaze – it is convenient to do this with a silicone brush. Set aside the sausage on a greased plate. Serve when the chocolate frosting is completely frozen.
Chocolate sausage with corn sticks
You will need: – 400 g of sweet corn sticks; – 300 g of milk or butter toffee; – 100 g of butter; – 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder; – 100 g of shelled hazelnuts; – 150 g of milk chocolate; – 2 tablespoons of cream.
Put the toffee and butter in a deep bowl, melt them in a water bath. Add cocoa powder and stir well. Grind corn sticks, pre-peeled and lightly roasted hazelnuts, crush in a mortar. Pour crushed sticks and nuts into the oil-toffee mixture, mix well.
Remove the bowl from the stove, cool the mixture a little and spoon it onto a piece of cling film. Shape into a sausage, wrap tightly with foil and refrigerate.
In a saucepan, melt the milk chocolate, add the cream and mix thoroughly. Cool the frosting slightly and pour over the finished sausage on all sides. Let the chocolate harden, cut the treat into slices and serve.
Sweet sausage with chocolate pieces
To make this dessert, use boiled condensed milk – it will provide the mass with the necessary density and viscosity. In addition to white chocolate, you can add finely chopped orange or lemon marmalade to the sausage mixture.
You will need: – 300 g of sugar cookies; – 100 g of white chocolate; – 100 g of butter; – 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder; – 100 g of boiled condensed milk.
Crush the cookies in a mortar, cut the white chocolate with a knife. Mash the condensed milk with softened butter and cocoa powder, then add chopped cookies and chocolate to the mixture. Stir the mixture well and place it on plastic wrap. Wrap the sausage tightly and store in the cold.
