Chlorophyllum lead slagCategory: inedible.

Hat (diameter 6-32 cm): white, occasionally grayish, dry, with a small dark tubercle in the center. First spherical, then bell-shaped, and in old mushrooms it is almost flat. From above it is covered with scales, sometimes with the remnants of a bedspread.

Leg (height 8-28 cm): white, which changes to brown at the site of injury, very smooth, expanding from top to bottom. Young mushrooms have a white ring at the top.

Pulp: white, at the site of the break and when interacting with air, it can become reddish or pinkish. Has no pronounced odor.

Doubles: reddening umbrella mushroom (Chlorophyllum rhacodes), which has a pleasant mushroom smell and many fibrous scales.

Lead-slag chlorophyllum grows from the end of May to mid-September in the countries of Eurasia, North America and Australia.

Where can I find: lead-slag chlorophyllum can be found in open spaces of forests and meadows.

Eating: nutritional properties have not been studied, so it is not recommended to eat.

Application in traditional medicine: does not apply.
