The basics about tree mushrooms

Several interesting recipes with an exotic product

1. Snack from wood mushrooms

Ingredients:

– woody mushrooms – 500 grams; – olive oil – 10 grams; – Seasoning for Korean carrots – 1 sachet; – garlic – 2 cloves; – soy sauce – 3 tablespoons; – table vinegar – 1 teaspoon; – salt, sugar to taste.

First, prepare your Chinese tree mushrooms. Take a large saucepan or cup, put the mushrooms from the packaging in there and cover with warm water. Leave it on for 2-3 hours. When the mushrooms have absorbed all the water, fill them with cold water again and leave in a cold place for a day.

After a day, drain the remaining water, sort out the mushrooms, divide the very large ones into separate “ears” and rinse thoroughly under running water. When the water has drained, sauté the prepared mushrooms in a large skillet for 5 minutes, then add the bag of Korean seasoning and simmer for another 5 minutes. Add salt and sugar to the hot mushrooms to taste and remove from heat. Add soy sauce and vinegar, if you like, add crushed garlic. Place the dish in the refrigerator.

Cold stewed mushrooms can be eaten as a stand-alone dish or prepared salads with them.

2. Salad with wood mushrooms and funchose

Ingredients:

– woody mushrooms – 200 grams; – smoked chicken (fillet) – 200 grams; – fresh cucumbers – 1 piece; – large carrots – 1 piece; – funchose – 50 grams; – eggs – 2 pieces; – starch – 1 teaspoon; – spices for Korean carrots – 1 sachet; – garlic, soy sauce, salt, sugar to taste.

Prepare the woody mushrooms in the same way as in the previous recipe. Cut the smoked chicken fillet and fresh cucumber into thin strips. Grate the carrots on a special grater (in Korean, in cubes), you can put them raw in a salad or fry in oil with onions – this is a matter of taste.
