Children’s room for children of different sexes: what should be, for two, layout
In the conditions of an apartment, it is not easy to allocate a separate room for each child, so often children share one room together. Now a children’s room for children of different sexes can be decorated in completely different ways. Many young parents disagree with the color division of the room into “girlish” and “boyish”.
What should be a room for children of different sexes
Although young parents are abandoning the idea of parenting according to their gender, it is difficult to eradicate the stereotype that pink is for girls and blue is for boys. Therefore, it is easier for people to arrange a room for two children in accordance with their gender.
Some general rules for decorating a room:
- You should think about what the layout will be, and divide the room into two parts. You can split it across or diagonally. It is important for the child to feel safe. It is important for babies to have their own personal space where they can put their toys and things, and no one will touch them.
- Consider common areas. Although the common part of the room should be divided, it makes no sense to buy a large drawing and sculpting table for each child separately if they are of the same age. Place toys that can be used by the group in a common area for both toddlers to have access to.
- If you are opposed to painting the room entirely pink or blue for children of different genders, use neutral colors: green, yellow, orange or purple.
In addition to these rules, do not forget to think about where the pieces of furniture will be in advance, so that you do not move them later.
Room for children of different ages
With a large age difference, it is more difficult to furnish a room. The older and younger children have different interests and hobbies, and the zones in the room will be different:
- Start from the age and the necessary items during this period. If the first child goes to the kindergarten, then place toys, including educational ones, on its half. If the second child is a schoolboy, provide him with a desk and a bookcase.
- If the age difference is large, then it is better to build a partition, since the elder will be uncomfortable in the same space with the younger. If possible, it is better to select separate rooms.
On the basis of dividing a room, conflicts can arise if you listen to only one of them. Try to listen to everyone and solve the problem.
It will be quite comfortable for people of the same age or old age to live in one space. Older children can be uncomfortable living with younger children. When the children grow up, do not forget to update the renovation, because they will not want to live in a space with children’s wallpaper.
