Childhood obesity – the father is to blame

As the scientists found out, there were more overweight fathers in this study than obese mothers, which gave the researchers the opportunity to talk about the fault of men in bad heredity in children. In addition, as doctors note, sugar plays an important role in childhood obesity, which children receive mainly not in the form of chocolate and sweets, but in sugary carbonated drinks.

Meanwhile, Danish scientists published an article in the British Medical Journal, the main conclusion of which is formulated quite simply: youthful men and women are more likely to live to old age than their older-looking peers. The researchers’ method, which compared 387 pairs of fraternal twins, was rather primitive. They asked a group of respondents to guess the age of 70-90-year-old twins from photographs. The result was unambiguous: people who looked younger than their age lived longer than their siblings with accentuated signs of old age. As the researchers suggest, important DNA fragments responsible for the ability of cells to reproduce determine the appearance of their owner.

According to the researchers, if a doctor noticed that his patient looks older than his age, then an urgent need to start sounding the alarm.

The saddest example of what the life of a young man turns into when he is overweight is the Englishwoman Melissa Jones. The girl was able to lose weight to normal weight, but now she again dreams of gaining 100 kg.
