When choosing a child’s diet, we should consider the needs of the organism that is growing strongly and needs additional energy. Age diet should be chosen so:

  • 5 to 9 years if you have excess weight, you can enter a few limitations on the diet’s caloric content by excluding high-carbohydrate foods, but mainly to increase motor activity.
  • For 10 years, it is better to avoid harmful snacks, chips, and crackers that provoke weight gain.

All the food for the child should be divided into 5-6 meals a day, allocating it correctly depending on the time of day:

  • Breakfast – 25%
  • lunch – 10%
  • 2nd lunch – 40%
  • afternoon tea – 5%
  • dinner is 20%.

In the first half of the day, it is preferable to eat protein foods; the evening is suitable for cereals with vegetables. Portions should fit the child’s age, and the dishes are best steamed or baked.

A child’s diet should include healthy foods: vegetables, fruits, berries, cereal grains, legumes, low-fat dairy, dairy products, lean meats, fish, chicken, beef, liver, seafood, eggs, bread (rye, branny, whole grain).

It is allowed to drink natural juices, jelly, chocolate milk, teas, herbal infusions, and mineral water without gas.

Should be limited sweets – chocolate, marshmallows, marmalade, crude vegetable oil, butter.

It is forbidden to eat canned meats, baking, soda, processed foods, meat products, fast food, fried pies, crisps, crackers, nuts.

Impossible to lose weight if your child has a chronic disease of the gastrointestinal tract in acute (gastritis, colitis, pancreatitis, etc.), cardiovascular disorders, type I diabetes, neoplasms, malignant and benign nature.
