Chicken meat is deservedly loved by many chefs, as it can be used to prepare a variety of dishes. Chicken thighs are especially popular, the juiciness of which is quite difficult to spoil during cooking, in contrast to the capricious breast and wings, which become dry very quickly. At the same time, the thighs can be prepared very exquisitely for serving on the festive table.

Chicken thighs: how to cook

Sweet and Sour Thighs Recipe

For cooking you need: – 0,5 kg of chicken thighs; – 1 red bell pepper; – 100 ml of dry white wine; – 2 heads of onions; – juice of half a lemon; – a tablespoon of liquid honey; – 1 orange; – a tablespoon of vegetable oil; – salt, paprika and black pepper to taste.

Rinse, pat dry the chicken thighs and brush over them with a mixture made from honey, wine, lemon juice, grated orange pulp and spices. Place the container of chicken in the refrigerator and leave it there for a couple of hours. After that, put the thighs in a baking dish, pre-oiled with vegetable oil, add the onion and pepper, cut into half rings, to the meat. Cook the dish in the oven for half an hour at 200 ° C.

Thighs stuffed with mushrooms

To prepare the dish you will need: – 6 chicken thighs; – 1 head of onion; – 200 g of champignons; – 250 ml sour cream; – 20 g flour; – 50 g of grated cheese; – a bunch of dill greens; – 30 g of vegetable oil for frying mushrooms; – salt to taste.

Chop mushrooms into strips, onion in half rings and fry them in vegetable oil until tender. Rinse the thighs and gently lift the skin on them, making a pocket. Fill it with the stuffing of stewed mushrooms and onions, sprinkle with salt on the thighs themselves, put in a baking dish and cover with a mixture of sour cream and flour.

It is most convenient to lift the skin on the thighs with the flat handle of an ordinary spoon, which, unlike a knife, does not leave holes in the skin and allows you to make a pocket without injuring the skin

Cook your thighs in a preheated oven at 200 ° C. After 35 minutes after starting cooking, sprinkle the meat with grated cheese and dill, and after another 5 minutes turn off the oven.

For cooking you need: – 4 chicken thighs; – 1 tablespoon of olive oil; – 30 g of lemon juice; – 2 cloves of garlic; – a little salt; – 1 teaspoon of turmeric.

Grate the garlic on a fine grater or pass through a press, mix the resulting pulp with salt, olive oil, turmeric and lemon juice. Coat each thigh with this mixture, then wrap it in portioned foil envelopes. Place the envelopes on a baking sheet in the oven for 40 minutes. The temperature of the preheated oven must be at least 180 ° C.

10 minutes before the end of cooking, gently unfold the top of the envelopes, this will allow a golden crust to form on the top of the thighs. But do this very carefully, as the steam escaping when opening the foil can burn your hands.
