Chewing gum recipe. Video
Chewing gum is a culinary product consisting of dyes and an inedible base. Its history is measured in millennia, because the most ancient prototype of the modern chewing gum dates back to the Neolithic period. Initially, natural ingredients were used as this product, and its industrial production, with dyes and flavors, was established only by the middle of the XNUMXth century. Today, such a product is easy to prepare yourself.
A simple recipe for peppermint gum with adhesive plaster
Ingredients: – a roll of cloth-based adhesive plaster; – water; – 1 tbsp. spoon of toothpaste.
Boil water in a saucepan, put a roll of adhesive plaster in it, reduce heat and simmer until the adhesive separates from the fabric. Then carefully remove the adhesive base and roll it into a ball. Throw away the cloth. Immerse the created ball in boiling water, add a spoonful of regular toothpaste to it and cook for 20 minutes. After the allotted time, the mint gum will be ready. Remove it from the water and cool slightly before drinking.
Multi-colored chewing gum
Ingredients: – 1 tbsp. spoon of chewing base; – 2 tbsp. tablespoons of starch; – 1 teaspoon of corn syrup; – 2-3 drops of dye; – flavoring.
You can usually find gum base in supermarkets or online stores. And as a flavoring additive, you can use some kind of syrup
Place the gum base on a plate and microwave for 1-1,5 minutes to soften and work more comfortably. Add corn syrup and 1-2 tsp. flavoring additive. Mix thoroughly so that the mass is uniform in color and consistency. Then place it on a mound of starch and knead it well. As soon as the gum is firm and smooth, add a couple of drops of color to it and knead well again. Roll it into a layer, cut it into small squares or triangles and treat your friends.
Remember that there should be no lumps in the gum.
Chewing gum based on natural ingredients such as the resin of fruit trees is much healthier. Especially tasty chewing gum is made from cherry or apricot resin. For its preparation you will need: – the resin of the fruit tree; – water; – sugar syrup.
Pick up the pieces of bark that has caked resin on it. Shake off any debris from the bark, rinse under running water and place in a colander. Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil and add some syrup to sweeten the water. Place a colander with bark in a saucepan, reduce heat and leave for about 30-40 minutes. After this time, all the resin and juice will drain into the sweet water. Let the water cool for a while, then remove the resin, roll it into a sausage and cut into small pieces. Once the finished chewing gum has cooled down completely, you can try it.
