Cherry tincture: 10 recipes at home

Homemade cherry tincture is already a classic. And many of us, having a large harvest of this berry, do not even think about what can be prepared from it.

In the process of cherry production, you can use fresh, frozen or wilted berries, and you can also get by with just the seeds. As an alcoholic component, you can take vodka, food alcohol, high-quality moonshine and even inexpensive, but real cognac.

They also cook from cherries: liqueurs, liqueurs, wine.

Cherry tincture on vodka with stones

In this recipe, it is recommended to dry the cherry – this helps to remove excess moisture, which makes the finished product more watery.

Ingredients

  1. Cherry – 1,5 kg

  2. Vodka – 700 ml

  3. Sugar – 500 ml

Method of preparation

  1. Before starting cooking, we need to dry the berries a little. To do this, you can use the oven – bake cherries for 4–6 hours at a temperature of 60–80 degrees. You can also lay the berries in an even layer on a flat surface and stand for 3-4 days in strong sunshine.

  2. In a container for infusion, mix the prepared berries, granulated sugar and alcohol (vodka should cover the cherry by 1–2 cm). Leave for one month in a dark place at room temperature. Once every 2-3 days, shake the contents of the container.

  3. A month later, we filter the finished tincture and squeeze the alcoholized berries well.

  4. Before bottling cherries, they must be passed through a filter.

  5. Before tasting, it is necessary to cool the tincture.

Cherry tincture on vodka

Ingredients

  1. Ripe cherries – 1 kg

  2. Vodka – 1 l

  3. Granulated sugar – 1,5 kg

Method of preparation

  1. The cherries must be washed and the pits removed.

  2. In a glass container, mix the prepared pulp with sugar and leave for a couple of hours at room temperature.

  3. As soon as the juice stands out, pour in the vodka and mix the contents of the container. We leave the tincture for 15 days in a dark, warm place.

  4. The finished drink should be filtered, squeezed cherries through cheesecloth, passed through a filter a couple of times and bottled.

  5. The tincture is stored in a dark, cool place for no more than three years.

Cherry tincture on alcohol

Ingredients

  1. Cherry – 1 kg

  2. Alcohol – 1,5 l

  3. Crystal sugar – 2 cups

Method of preparation

  1. Wash the cherries, remove the stems and dry a little.

  2. Pour the berries into the prepared jar and fill them with edible alcohol. We transfer the container to a cool place for two weeks.

  3. After insisting, pour the infusion into a separate container, and pour the berries with sugar and leave for another 14 days under the same conditions.

  4. When a syrup is formed, it must be drained and mixed with cherry infusion.

  5. We filter the finished drink and take a sample, if it seems to you that it is too strong, you can dilute the tincture with water.

  6. Before tasting, the drink should be bottled and then cooled.

Cherry tincture on moonshine

Ingredients

  1. Ripe cherries – 2 kg

  2. Moonshine double distillation – 1 l

  3. Granulated sugar – 10 tbsp. l.

  4. Carnation – 10 buds

  5. Nutmeg – 0,5 tsp.

  6. Ground cinnamon – 0,5 tsp

Method of preparation

  1. Cherries need to be dried. How to do this is described in the first recipe.

  2. Each berry must be pierced with a toothpick in several places, and then transferred to a glass container, alternating with sugar and spices.

  3. After all the layers are laid out, pour in moonshine without a strong odor and leave the container in a sunny place for two months.

  4. Shake the contents of the jar once every 2-3 days.

  5. After the specified time, we filter the tincture through a fine strainer and bottle it.

  6. Cherry is recommended to cool, and then serve it to the festive table.

Cherry leaf tincture

Ingredients

  1. Cherry leaves – 200 pcs.

  2. Cherry berries – 50 pcs.

  3. Vodka – 1 l

  4. Citric acid – 1,5 tsp.

  5. Water – 1 L

  6. Granulated sugar – 1,5 kg

Method of preparation

  1. We put the washed berries and leaves into a saucepan, pour in water and boil the mixture for about 15 minutes over low heat.

  2. The broth must be filtered, poured into a saucepan, add citric acid, sugar to it and boil for another 5-7 minutes over low heat.

  3. Cool the resulting cherry syrup to room temperature, mix it with an alcohol base and pour the drink into glass jars.

  4. We insist the drink for about 20 days at room temperature.

  5. After 20 days, the finished product is passed through the filter, bottled, cooled and tasted.

  6. The shelf life should not exceed 2 years. Fortress in the region of 8-10 degrees.

Cherry tincture from frozen cherries

Ingredients

  1. Frozen cherries – 750 g

  2. Cognac – 750 ml

  3. Granulated sugar – 120 g

  4. Cinnamon, vanilla, cloves, nutmeg – to taste (optional)

Method of preparation

  1. Cherries must be thawed and, together with the liquid, transferred to a glass jar.

  2. Pour in 500 ml of cognac and leave the drink to infuse for one month in a cool room.

  3. We filter the finished tincture, add sugar and the remaining 250 ml of cognac to it.

  4. Then we filter the drink, bottle it and leave it in the refrigerator until completely clarified.

Cherry tincture

Ingredients

  1. Cherry pits – 1/3 of a three-liter jar

  2. Vodka – 2 l

  3. Water – 300 ml

  4. Sugars – 200 g

Method of preparation

  1. Pour the bones into a 3 liter jar.

  2. Then pour in the prepared alcohol and leave the tincture for two months in a dark place at room temperature.

  3. After two months, the infusion must be filtered.

  4. Cook simple sugar syrup.

  5. Mix the syrup that has cooled to room temperature with the tincture and pass the finished drink through the filter.

  6. We pour the tincture on cherry stones into bottles, cool it and we can take a sample.

  7. Such a drink can be drunk in its pure form or added to hot drinks (tea or coffee).

Cherry tincture with honey

Ingredients

  1. Vodka – 500 ml

  2. Ripe cherries – 500 g

  3. Honey – 60 g

Method of preparation

  1. Put ripe, juicy berries in a jar, pour honey on top and shake.

  2. Pour in vodka, cover the jar with gauze, leave for 5 days.

  3. Carefully drain the tincture, strain, pour into a bottle and close tightly.

  4. Store in a dark place.

Cherry tincture from juice

Ingredients

  1. Vodka – 500 ml

  2. Sweet cherry juice – 250 ml

  3. Water – 250 ml

  4. Sugar – lower proportion

Method of preparation

  1. First, prepare sweet cherry juice: peel clean cherries from the stalks, put them in a jar and cover with sugar (1 g of sugar per 700 kg of cherries).

  2. Cover the jar with gauze, keep in a sunny place for 40-45 days.

  3. Express juice. Mix cherry juice with boiled water and vodka, pour into a bottle.

  4. Let it brew for a couple of days in a cool place. The drink is ready.

Cherry stem tincture

Ingredients

  1. Vodka – 1 l

  2. Cherry stalks – 250 g

  3. Sugars – 100 g

Method of preparation

  1. Pour clean, fresh stalks into a glass container, cover with sugar.

  2. Mix thoroughly and close the container with gauze.

  3. Insist at room temperature for 30-35 days.

  4. Pour vodka, mix, leave for another 7-8 days also at room temperature, covering the container with gauze.

  5. The finished tincture is well drained and filtered, bottled, corked, stored in a dark and cool place.
