Cherry liqueur: 8 recipes at home

A ripe and juicy berry is suitable for making liqueurs. You can use both fresh and frozen cherries.

Classic cherry liqueur

If you want the finished cherry liqueur to be more viscous, then put it in the freezer for 1 hour before serving and the taste will open in a new way.

Ingredients

  1. Cherry – 500 g

  2. Vodka – 500 ml

  3. Sugars – 450 g

  4. Water – 1 L

  5. Vanilla sugar – 50 g

  6. Lemon slices – 3 pcs.

Method of preparation

  1. Cherries must be thoroughly washed and sorted, removing spoiled berries and cuttings.

  2. Pour the prepared sweet cherry with a stone into a saucepan, fill it with water and bring to a boil. Then we put lemon, granulated sugar, vanilla sugar in the cherry broth and boil over low heat for another 10 minutes.

  3. After cooling the syrup, filter it through a sieve.

  4. Pour the alcohol base and prepared cherry syrup into a glass container, shake well and let it brew for 14 days in a dark, cool place.

  5. After the specified time, we filter the finished liquor through a purchased or home-made filter.

  6. Pour into glass bottles and store in a cool dark place.

Alternative classic recipe

Ingredients

  1. Cherries – 1 kg

  2. Sugar syrup – 1 l

  3. Cognac or alcohol 40% – 1 l

Method of preparation

  1. Peel the cherries from the stalks and seeds, put in a jar and pour brandy or alcohol so that they are covered with it.

  2. Close the jar and keep for 8-15 days, stirring from time to time.

  3. Then strain the liquid through gauze in 4 layers, and squeeze the cherries.

  4. The resulting liquid is mixed with sugar syrup, filtered, bottled and stored in a cold place.

Spicy cherry liqueur

Ingredients

  1. Cherry – 500 g

  2. Vodka – 700 ml

  3. Red dry wine – 500 ml

  4. Granulated sugar – 300 g

  5. Cinnamon stick – 1/2

  6. Cloves – 2 buds

  7. Almonds – 9 pcs.

  8. Zest of half an orange

Method of preparation

  1. Cherries must be thoroughly washed and sorted, removing spoiled berries and cuttings.

  2. We shift the prepared berries into a glass container (pre-mash with a crush), add granulated sugar, cinnamon, peeled almonds, cloves, orange zest and pour the alcohol base. Let it brew for 6 weeks in a dark, cool place, shaking 2 times a week.

  3. After the specified time, we filter the infusion through a sieve, and squeeze the berries.

  4. We mix the strained infusion with red wine and let it brew for another 1 month. Then we filter the finished liquor through a homemade or purchased filter and pour it into glass bottles.

  5. Store the drink in a dark, cool place.

Quick cherry liqueur

To prepare a delicious and fragrant cherry liqueur according to this recipe, you will need only 3 days.

Ingredients

  1. Cherry – 350 g

  2. Cherry leaves – 100 g

  3. Vodka – 2 l

  4. Water – 900 ml

  5. Citric acid – 10 g

  6. Granulated sugar – 600 g

Method of preparation

  1. Cherries and cherry leaves must be thoroughly washed and sorted, removing spoiled berries and cuttings. Remove pits from cherries.

  2. We shift the prepared berries, leaves into a saucepan and fill it with water, bring to a boil and boil over low heat for 15 minutes.

  3. The broth is cooled to room temperature and filtered through a sieve.

  4. We cook a simple sugar syrup on a cherry broth.

  5. In a glass container, mix the syrup and alcohol base. Shake and insist in the refrigerator for 3 days.

  6. After the specified time, the finished cherry liqueur is poured into glass bottles. Store the finished drink in a dark, cool place (preferably in the refrigerator).

Cherry liqueur «Double alcohol»

Ingredients

  1. Sweet cherries – 1 kg

  2. White rum – 500 ml

  3. Alcohol (95,6%) – 50 ml

  4. Honey – 3/4 cup

  5. Vanilla pod – 1/2

  6. Carnation – 5 buds

Method of preparation

  1. Cherries must be thoroughly washed and sorted, removing spoiled berries and cuttings. Remove pits from cherries.

  2. We shift the prepared berries, vanilla, cloves into a glass container and pour honey. Let it brew for a day in a cool place.

  3. The next day, pour the alcohol base into a glass container and insist for another 3 months in a dark, cool place.

  4. After the specified time, we filter the liquor and squeeze the berries well. Leave for 3-4 days to precipitate.

  5. Then carefully drain from the sediment and filter again. Pour the finished cherry liqueur into glass bottles.

  6. Before tasting, it is desirable to withstand another 3 months. Store in a dark cool place.

Strong cherry liqueur

Ingredients

  1. Sweet cherries – 4 kg

  2. Granulated sugar – 2,5 kg

  3. Vodka – 1 l

Method of preparation

  1. Cherries must be thoroughly washed and sorted, removing spoiled berries and cuttings. Remove pits from cherries.

  2. We shift the prepared cherries into a glass container, add 1,250 kg of granulated sugar and pour 500 ml of an alcohol base. Let it brew in a dark, cool place for 5 weeks.

  3. After the specified time, filter the drink and add the remaining sugar and alcohol. We continue to insist on the same place for another 7 days.

  4. Pour the finished cherry liqueur into glass bottles and store in the refrigerator.

Cherry liqueur on cognac

The strength of the finished cherry liquor is around 18%.

Ingredients

  1. Sweet cherries – 2 kg

  2. Cognac – 500 ml

  3. Granulated sugar – 800 g

  4. Water – 400 ml

  5. Cinnamon stick – 1 pc.

  6. Vanilla pod – 1 pc.

Method of preparation

  1. Cherries must be thoroughly washed and sorted, removing spoiled berries and cuttings. Remove pits from cherries.

  2. Cook classic sugar syrup.

  3. While the syrup is cooking, cut the cherries in half. Pour the prepared berry with syrup and let it brew for a day in a cool place.

  4. The next day, drain the cherry syrup, add vanilla, cinnamon to it and bring to a boil over low heat, and transfer the berries to a glass container.

  5. After the syrup has cooled, add cognac to it, filter through a purchased or home-made filter and pour it into a glass container to the berries. Let it brew for 2 weeks in a dark, cool place.

  6. After the specified time, the finished liquor is filtered again and poured into glass bottles. Store the drink in the refrigerator.

Cherry liqueur with mint and lemon

Ingredients

  1. Cherry – 700 g

  2. Vodka – 500 ml

  3. Granulated sugar – 220 g

  4. Mint leaves – 15 pcs.

  5. Cherry pits – 10 pcs.

  6. Zest of one lemon

Method of preparation

  1. Cherries must be thoroughly washed and sorted, removing spoiled berries and cuttings. Remove pits from cherries and set aside 10 pieces separately.

  2. We crush the bones with a kitchen hammer and wrap them well in gauze.

  3. We put the prepared cherries, seeds, granulated sugar, lemon zest, mint leaves into a glass container and pour the alcohol base. We let it brew for a week in direct sunlight, and then 30 days in a dark, cool place.

  4. After the specified time, the drink must be filtered through a purchased or home-made filter and poured into glass bottles.

  5. Store the finished cherry liqueur in the refrigerator.
