In order for the cheese plate to be perfect, when compiling it, you must follow some rules:
Rule one: arrange cheeses clockwise from tender to richer and more savory, placing soft cheeses in the center of the plate, and semi-hard and hard cheeses closer to the edges.
Rule two: as an unwritten rule, there must be an odd number of types of cheese on the plate.
Rule three: the plate should include different types of cheese (soft, semi-soft, goat, hard, moldy …).
Rule four: so that every guest can fully appreciate the taste of the cheese, each piece of it must have a core and a crust. To do this, cut the round cheeses into segments, and the rest into cubes or slices.
Rule five: It is customary to serve cheeses on a wooden plate or flat porcelain, glass or ceramic plate.
Rule six: the cheese plate must be decorated with suitable fruits or dried fruits, berries, herbs, nuts. Honey or jam works well with blue cheeses. The cheeses are delicious with fresh bread.
