Cheese basket: recipe. Video

Delicate crispy cheese basket is not only a beautiful, but also a delicious dish that will decorate any festive table. The baked basket is stored for several days, and, if necessary, can be used as an original edible salad bowl.

Each hostess strives to set a beautiful table for the arrival of guests, and a cheese basket will become its real decoration. And the taste of salads will be more piquant thanks to the slightly fried cheese shell.

For those who do not like washing dishes, edible cheese baskets are an additional saving of time and effort

Ingredients:

– hard cheese (preferably parmesan) – 300 grams; – potato starch – 1 tablespoon; – vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons; – garlic, black pepper, sesame seeds, herbs (to taste).

Take any hard cheese (you can mix several varieties or add a little soft cheese), grate it on a fine grater if you want to get thin and delicate baskets. For thicker and tougher cheese baskets, grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Add a spoonful of starch to the prepared cheese and stir gently.

For spiciness, you can add garlic crushed on a press to the cheese mass, and finely chopped fresh herbs to give the basket a pleasant greenish tint.

Cheese baskets can be made in several ways – in a pan, in the microwave and in the oven.

To cook in a skillet, grease a non-stick frying pan (approx. 16-17 cm in diameter) with vegetable oil, put it on low heat and add a thin layer of grated cheese. The edges can be wavy. Once the underside of the cheesecake is melted, very carefully remove with a spatula and immediately place it on an inverted glass, cup, or other container. Straighten the edges and shape them into a vase with wavy edges. To prevent the hot cheese basket from losing its shape, you can grab it on a glass with a thin rubber band. When the cheese is set, the basket can be removed.

To bake baskets in the oven, take sheets of parchment paper, cut into squares. After the oven has warmed up to about 180-200 degrees, place a baking sheet with cheese on parchment squares and bake for 1-2 minutes. Then remove the baking sheet and, along with the parchment, transfer the cheese squares to an inverted glass. Shape the basket as described above.

To prepare baskets in the microwave, grease a plate or plastic tray with vegetable oil, lay out a layer of grated cheese and microwave for 20-30 seconds. After the cheese has melted, shape the cheese baskets.
