Charging for newborns: from the first days to a month, how to do, what
After his birth, a small person requires a lot of attention and maternal care. Exercising for newborns is one of the must-do activities that a mother must do every day.
Is gymnastics necessary from the first days
Of course, you don’t need to do special exercises with your baby right after birth. The kid, dressed in loose undershirts, slowly moves his arms and legs, puts his fists in his mouth. These first movements prepare the child’s muscles for more difficult work. But from the second week with the baby, you can already purposefully engage in light exercises.
Such exercises help to strengthen the immune system, maintain healthy muscle tone, develop coordination of movements, and help the baby to know his body. It is also one of the ways parents communicate with their baby.
At first, the duration of classes should not exceed 5-7 minutes. But by the end of the third week, this time can be increased to ¼ h. In order not to disturb the child once again, it is better to use the changing time. At the same time, the air temperature in the room should not be lower than 21 ° C, otherwise the baby will be cold and uncomfortable.
What preparation is needed before charging
Each lesson should include the following components:
- air bath;
- massage;
- exercises.
An air bath is a short procedure during which the baby lies at room temperature without clothes. The baby’s body gradually adapts to a lower temperature and becomes resistant to cold.
The massage warms up the muscles of the child and prepares them for physical activity. Massage and exercise should be done with warm hands. Stroking movements should be soft, gentle and smooth. All parts of the body should be stroked, starting from the tips of the fingers and toes towards the center. The abdomen is massaged in a clockwise direction. It is strictly forbidden to massage the area of the heart and liver.
How to do exercises for newborns up to a month
After the massage, you can start exercising:
- spread the arms to the sides and cross over the chest;
- bend the legs, press them to the stomach and return to their original position;
- lift the handles up;
- spread apart the legs, previously bent at the knees;
- draw eights on the feet;
- knead your fists;
- put the baby on his stomach and gently stroke him on the back.
Each exercise must be repeated 4-5 times. As the baby grows up, the set of exercises becomes more complicated, and the duration of charging increases.
Knowing how to do gymnastics with a child, a young mother will feel more confident and calm.
