As of Saturday, January 30, the regulations regarding the appointment of teleportation will change. This is supposed to result in “faster access to help appropriate to the patient’s condition and health needs”. What exactly is changing? How long will we wait?

Telepawada within XNUMX hours of reporting. “This solution is ill-considered”

“Teleporada is implemented no later than on the first working day following the day the patient reports to the primary health care provider via the ICT system, communication or personal system” – established the Regulation of the Minister of Health of January 12, 2021, amending the regulation on the organizational standard of teleportation . So, in short, teleportation was to be carried out within XNUMX hours from the notification.

The ministry indicated that the purpose of these solutions is to “improve the patient-service provider contact, which will result in faster obtaining of help appropriate to the condition and health needs of a given patient. The consequence of the implemented changes will also be an increase in access to services provided as part of primary health care ».

Family physicians were against such a solution. As praw.pl reminds, it was protested by the Zielona Góra Agreement, the Agreement of Healthcare Employers and the Supreme Medical Chamber. “Such a solution is ill-considered and makes it impossible to arrange teleportation at a later date, even if the patient requests it” – emphasized the medical council (from Politykazdrowotna.com).

The medics pointed out that not every visit is urgent and that they, and not the ordinance, should decide on the date of teleportation. They also raised the fact that the changes had not been consulted with them.

Telepainting possible later than one day from reporting, but there are conditions

In connection with the above, a draft amendment has appeared on the website of the Government Legislation Center. It stipulates that teleporting may be provided later than the first working day following the day the patient reports. The condition is, however, to agree this with the patient or their legal guardian.

As we read in the justification, “the proposed changes meet the needs and expectations of patients, at the same time taking into account the organizational capabilities of service providers”.

The Ministry of Health explains that this solution is to result in “faster obtaining of help appropriate to the condition and health needs of a given patient”, and also “will enable the person providing teleportation to agree on the optimal date for the implementation of the above-mentioned benefits, taking into account both the actual health need of a given patient and the date of reporting ».

The ministry emphasizes that “the adoption of the above-mentioned scheme of action will not threaten the provision of advice and direct contact visits at the same time”.

The regulation is expected to enter into force on January 30, 2021. “This date is related to the entry into force of the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Health of January 12, 2021 amending the regulation on the organizational standard of teleporting in primary health care”.
