Chanel: makeup for this spring

At the recent fashion show in Paris, makeup artists from famous brands showed what the fashionable makeup will be like next spring. One of the lightest and most delicate is the look from Chanel. Peter Philips, the creative director of makeup, spoke about how the makeup for the show was created.

First of all, Karl Lagerfeld wanted to convey the fantastic, the fabulousness of the underwater world, its uniqueness. The feeling of lightness and weightlessness is what I wanted to emphasize in the first place. This could be best conveyed through glitter and pearls. During the discussion, Karl made some beautiful sketches. The girls in the pictures were all in pearls. On some, they were attached along the entire spine, on others, or on the ears, nose and, of course, in the hair. It seemed to me that white pearlescent shadows would be perfect for showing.

By the way, pearls in Chanel collections are not accidental, because they were a favorite adornment of Coco Chanel herself.

At the heart of everything is a matte skin tone.

The emphasis was on glow and purity with a touch of humor. I made the skin of the models pale, but glowing with a slight pink and coral blush.

To create this look, Peter Philips used Pro Lumiere Professional Finish Makeup to give the skin the matte finish it needs. Lips of models Philips covered with gloss Levres Scintillantes translucent shade Plaisir.

Shining white – the trendy color of the spring season

For a wet eyelid effect, Chanel Creative Director used Illusion d’Ombre cream eyeshadow in a luminous white. Peter Philips added some peach eyeshadow to them and summed up the inner eyelid with a light beige pencil. And so that from light shadows there was no effect of tired eyes, the makeup artist made the arrows with black eyeliner along the growth line of the upper eyelashes.

In spring, the effect of wet hair returns to fashion

Sam McKnight, the international art director of Pantene Pro-V, was responsible for the hairstyles at the show. The stylist decided to create the effect of wet hair, for which he used two products – Sebastian Mousse Forte mousse and Pantene Pro-V Repair and Protect leave-in conditioner. He just applied them to his hair and made a messy bun. Sam advises using mousse when styling, as its texture is easier and easier to distribute through the hair.

New collection of nail polishes

The nail polishes from the new collection are as gentle as spring itself, and they are called April, May and June. After the winter cold, now fashionable blue and metallic shades of varnishes, these peach and caramel colors will give a wonderful spring mood and we can safely assume that they will become hits of the season!
