PSYchology

A psychiatrist, especially valued by the Nazis, about the alleged innate inferiority of a woman and the ability to determine the criminal inclinations of an individual only by his appearance.

A paranoid psychiatrist, Lombroso is an ambiguous figure, but a bright one. Working in prison, at the end of the XNUMXth century, he created his own system for determining criminal inclinations (which he considers innate) by the appearance of an individual. It is not surprising that he was appreciated by the theorists of fascism. He considers a woman as a biologically inferior being: “We found out that a woman has a lot in common with a child: she has a poorly developed moral sense, is jealous, vindictive.” The question arises: why should we read his evil book? Then that «the enemy must be known by sight.» Lombroso’s ideas have not disappeared, they are still popular with those who feel danger in a woman and want to bring a «scientific» justification under their own fear. And more than once, motherhood (according to Lombroso, the main instinct that determines the behavior of a woman) will be tried to be turned from joy into a duty, because it allegedly “holds back” a woman, otherwise “painful irritation of mental centers excites bad instincts, … a semi-criminal is a creature, what a normal woman is, should easily turn into a natural criminal.”
